okay people.. time out.. i am close with a friend that guy that plays on the Eagles and from what he told.. he said that Stinz was a cancer on the team.. and was more of a trouble maker then any thing else.. Nick Mac should be a lock for a 20 year old spot with Ward if he does indeed come back.. as of the next one i dont know if they will keep Piskachek cuz it's very unlikely to keep a Euro as a 20 year old.. they might be able to pull off a deal to bring in a 20 year old depending on how the situation unfolds on draft day.. hopefully it will be a good one #1 nobody's arguing about the 20yr old situation #2 if you don't have 2 Euro's and also don't have 3 impact 20yr olds but have a 20yr old euro who is willing to play then you bring him back. We will still draft a Euro, but I don't see the big deal in Piscacek returning. He's head and shoulders above Tesink, Gauthier, Lavigeur, and Stinziani as far as impact on the team. Drummondville had Prokop and at 20 and Piscaek will be more of an impact than him at that age. He had 39 points last year and plus 13 rating. I have no issue at all taking him back.

Just baffles me how this team is ran. Like it or not you have to accept it as a fan but is he really going to clean out the cupboards? It always seems like he does just enough to hang in there, not put it all in or pull it all out. Not hard to see why it fustrates fans.
As for Adam and Wall, it would be great. Most likely one of Ward and Pisachek are not coming back, so Stinz is going nowhere. It would be great to see both back, because as Jack said, our back end won't change. If Mario gets lucky on that, again like Jack said, adding a few pieces up front and we are in good shape. Wait and see game!

They obviously don't seem to have a plan beyond the 09-10 season which is why we only have 4 or 5 assets under the age of 19 and now no 1st round pick.

Halifax could have interest in Lavigeur or Gauthier for the right price.
With Piette going to Lewiston, and Chermetiev trying out for CSKA of the KHL, Halifax will be hurting down the middle. They'd be hurting down the middle even if Chermetiev is back.

Piskacek goes on a special list so you can still draft 2 Euros, keep the best and trade the other.

If you do get Adam you will have a great 1st line but not much after that. It will take more than one forward line to succeed.

People really underrate just how good Patrik Prokop is/was
I don't argue Piskacek is also very good and would not hurt you as a 20 and Euro..... but to suggest he's head and shoulders more impactful than Prokop is false IMO

Maybe they are taking the "buy low-sell high" approach ... and will sell Adam and Doyle (if acquired) at Xmas to the highest bidder ... to turn these picks in a crappy draft into more and better picks in a stronger draft. Still costs players though ...

Prokop was a very good D man all around for sure but Jan having two solid seasons in the Q and two World Juniors under his belt positions him to be much more of a dynamic player in this league.
