To add on what JB did a while back, this time with Europeans IF they report...
FORWARDS (not necessarily accurate positions or line combos) Adam/Hertzberg/MacNeil Stinziani/Horyl/Bourgeois LeSieur/Shaw/MacDougal Bernard/Chaisson/Cuzner Boudreau-Plouffe/Jodoin
Others: Desveaux, MacCarron, Bergeron, MacIntosh, Piche, Parker, Riguse
DEFENSE Ward/Brodeur Meilleur/Pivsatkin Ellis/Campbell Saab
Others: Michallef, Fournier, Boudreau, Herrett
GOALIES Roy/Holden

Pretty solid top to bottom.
I think we're still a front line forward from being a powerhouse but when you break it down we have great goaltending, should have a very good penalty kill, and have more then enough goal scoring to be in the mix with the other top teams.
This should be a fun team to watch if everything falls into place.

I agree i think 1 -2 more top 6 forwards and we might be considered a power house . Defence and goaltending are solid . I can't wait to see what types of players the euro's are , if they report. I see you have Chaisson in on the 4th line . Does he really have what it takes to play in the Q ?

Horyl will be reliable. Won't be able to tell until we see these euro's play. Like to see a free agent make a splash. Come christmas i think we will be looking at adding an impact forward and a reliable guy. I think Shaw will take huge strides with the extra ice time this year. Going to be exciting for sure.

I'm not at all suprised. Do you think RN would part with Sergey Ostapchuk and if so what would we have to give up? I think we need to look at trading for a Euro that is currently in the league

So if I'm understanding correctly, the guy's got a tryout with Omsk.... does that necessarily mean he's 100% not coming to North America? He's still only 18 - maybe it'll turn out that Canadian major junior is better for him at this stage of his development, than the KHL would be.
With Europeans, you never know till training camp comes and you either see them or don't see them.

I think we need to look at trading for a Euro that is currently in the league Just to throw a name out there for a Euro that is in the league is Simon Olsson who played with the Rocket last season. Not sure if it is a scenario that would come up where Cape Breton would need to go out and get another Euro and not sure if you guys would want/need him but he could be an option or a suggestion. He doesn't look to be in the Rocket's plans for next season and someone on the Rocket board mentioned that he was interested in coming back for next season but I think he could be of use to a team, at least the teams know what they are getting with him and he is already familiar with the league. He got off to a bit of a slow start in his only season here but as the season went on he showed alot of grit and determined play and started to put up some points in the 2nd half of the season.

Doubtful...he is a 20 year old. MacNeil, Stinziani and Ward are CB's 20's and Laviguer is better than Olsson....maybe not as great a scorer, but way better all-around game.

They have a decent team coming back, so it could go either way. But they wont trade him before the December trade period.
