The entire Bulldogs team looked insane. ( Especially the coach ) Talk about trying to incite a brawl. was that in the Berry days? Who were their goons? Wasn't there a build up to that during the season?

I'm pretty sure they had Dennis Bonvie's brother, Herbie, and some Dorington guy, I know these two guys were pretty tough

That was indeed a Danny Berry team, and he is indeed the most insane person of all in that brawl. He was swinging a stick in his suit, right alongside his players.
Yeah as goons they had Herb Bonvie (he's the guy running around shirtless trying to incite the crowd, all the while getting mocked by the entire rink for his beer gut!) and I think that other guy's name was Ian Dorrington....... but as you can see on the video, the whole team is ready to rumble.

Jason Dorrington? I think he was in Cats camp one year, the year they had big Dupont...may have been the Alpines.

I used to follow the Cape Breton Oilers like crazy from the moment I moved to Sydney in 1992 til they left town. During their last season, when they made like all tickets only 5 bucks, I must have went to at least 15 games. One unusual memory I have, and I wonder if anyone else remembers it, was a game, I think it was in 1994 or 1995, but it was definitely against the Adirondack Red Wings, where the game was tied and about to head to over time, when someone fired a shot from about centre ice at the Wings goalie who caught it, then promptly fell down and dropped the puck behind him into the net with only 5 seconds left? Craziest ending to a game I saw.
I went to exactly one Pepsi Islanders game (the one with Gordie Howe as the honorary captain). Didn't really care for it. And as such never even paid attention to the fact that we had a QMJHL team shortly after that (and truthfully didn't even know what the Q was before then either).
I never actually started to go to Eagles games til their 4th year, and I only went to that initial game because my grandfather scored free tickets. It was against Val-D'or and I can't remember the score, but I enjoyed it. I remember hearing about how buzzed the Eagles when they pulled off that tremendous comeback in the 01 playoffs. I remember quite a bit about the 2001-02 season, such as as opening game of the season against Moncton one week after 9/11, that legendary Sportsnet game with George Davis becoming an honorary member of the Titan (during a massive blizzard no less) which featured 3 uninterrupted seconds of me on TV just before the 3rd period. I've been to at least 4 games per season since the 01-02 season, though probably no more than 10 in any one season. Was only at 2 regular season games (coincidently, the same amount of Anaheim Ducks regular season games I was at last year too) and 2 playoff games last year. I'm sure I'll get to some this year, haven't been able to yet (and sadly won't even be able to get the home opener as I wanted to).

Why do you need to be persuaded on a message board? If you want a season ticket, or a flex pack, go buy one. Personally I don't buy either because #1 the expense is too much and #2 I won't attend every game. If you only plan on missing a few games, and want the same seat/area to sit in, then it's a no brainer. I don't need a reason, per se. I was just curious as to people's opinions and reason's for buying season tickets. I was more interested in the first part of the discussion. Why is this board so confrontational? Confrontational - because they know everything ;D

I sit by the railing and try to touch their hands as they walk out." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Awesome.

I mean, yeah, maybe my facts aren't always 100%, but, I contribute. I'm just not willing to sit back and let you think that you run/own a public messageboard. I recall a wise man once said something along the lines of "Say stupid shit and you'll get corrected 100% of the time". Thats what I did in this thread. You said something outrageous. I called you out. Now you and the troops are all upset. I love this board. So much. Helps me get through my work day. ha. So, anyways, back on track!!! I'd love to hear more stories!
