Whoops, we posted at virtually the same time. I'll just paste my post (even if it's a bit redundant) into this thread, and delete the other one!
Game just got underway. All rookies on the Moncton side. Three vets on our side - Micallef, Ellis, and Desveaux.
Our first goalie pick from this past draft, Alexandre Verroneau, is in net. The other goalie we drafted this year, Newfoundlander Travis Wilkins, is on the bench and will presumably play the second half. Brandon Decker in net for Moncton with 19-year-old Wendell Vye on the bench ; Vye apparently has the inside track on the backup job to Louis Domingue.
The rookies we've dressed tonight are:
D - Ian Saab D - Jean-Sebastien Fournier
F - Justin Chiasson F - Patrick Lapostolle F - Olivier Jodoin F - Brad Cuzner F - Felix Bergeron F - Cory MacIntosh F - Vincent Boudreau-Plouffe F - Thierry Piche F - Yann Harnois F - Neil Coombs F - Chris Riguse F - Devon Muir
By my count, that's only four D - wonder what's up with that?
Rookies not playing tonight include:
D - Jim Campbell D - Mathieu Boudreau D - Wes Herret D - Paul Jackiw
F - Nick Parker F - Steve Brazil (injured last I heard) F - Victor Hertzberg F - Trevor Layton (in his hometown no less)
Also not playing are our "extra" overagers - Gauthier and Tesink.

5-1 Wildcats rookies after two. The line with the Saulnier brothers and 1st round pick Raffael Bussieres ripping it up. Allain Saulnier has a hat trick, Alex Saulnier three assists, Bussieres two helpers.
Cory MacIntosh, who played with the Tradesmen last year, has the Eagles rookies' lone goal - assisted by the offensively-minded dman J-S Fournier.
The game seems to be a tale of two powerplays. Moncton's is 3/5, ours is 1/9.
In spite of the deficit, shots are 24-18 CB after two. Verroneau, based on the #s, had a tough outing with 4 goals against on 15 shots. Of course, statistics only go so far - two of those were on the powerplay, and could well have been bang-bang plays he had little chance on.
Two fights so far. Neil Coombs and Yann Harnois dropped the mitts for us.

Final score 7-2 Moncton.
Felix Bergeron, on the powerplay, with the Eagles' second goal.
Ian Saab got into a fight in period 3.
Allain Saulnier finishing with four goals for Moncton. His twin brother Alex Saulnier had four assists. The third member of that line, Raffael Bussieres, with three points (goal and two helpers).
Black and White game tomorrow, rematch with Moncton Sunday at 7 at the Centre. It should be a chance to get a look at our new Euro in preseason action.
