Why was Deveaux playing D last night? We only had Ellis , Micallef , Saab & Meilluer dressed as defencmen . Maybe Mario is just trying him out there in case of injurys during the season

Truth. I honestly didn't even notice that he wasn't playing! You didn't notice when he bled all over the ice in front of his goalie's crease, was attended to for several minutes by the trainer, and left the ice clutching his mouth? Maybe you were at the canteen? Checking out the new washroom renovations?

I guess I just assumed he returned to the bench.

But he visibly went down the tunnel, as the whole crowd saw as it watched with concern, hoping the next announcement over the PA wouldn't be for Dr. Chafe to head down to the Eagles' dressing room...... bah, never mind!

Yeah, but as I said, I thought he probably returned for the second period. Ya know....go get a couple of stitches, take a tylenol, rough it out.

I was thining that the Reason that Desveaux might be on D is cuz when you come to think of it.. the line up that they had last night is probly going to be the same as opening night if the one's going to pro camp wont be back yet.. so on opening night that's where he might be until the team is finalized.. he really did not look out of place except one bad paly in the 3rd period that he cut up the middle instead of going up the boards.. his first pass was mostly from tape to tape and didnt look out of place one bit.. he had a good game last night and i was really impressed.. and one more thing.. in my opinion.. i see him being a better player then Bourgeois.. he did not impress me one bit.. and i dont know if he will make this team.. he is probly pencilled in to be on it but im sure that other players would do a better job then him.. he has a few give aways and just looked out of place

Desveaux wasn't too bad at all. He's pretty stocky. Has a similar build to a guy like Prokopetz. Bourgeois didn't do much last night.

Bourgeois i thought played really well last night . He doesnt have the best hands , he's not the fastest or the biggest but he works his ass off every shift. He's in your face and gives 110% every shift . I wish people would stop looking at the score sheet after the game and making there judgments off that.

Its in general , some not all people seem to look at the score sheet and 0 pts and say ah well he didnt do much , or didnt play well . When sometimes thats not the case . I dont know what you were expecting from Bourgeois but i thought he played a good game for a guy that will be playing ton the 3rd line once the season starts.

Adam - Buffalo Roy - Edmonton MacNeil - St.Louis Ward - Vancouver Broduer - Phoenix Bernard - NJ MacDougall - Boston
