I was just reminiscing about the good old days with my grandpa and it made me think about all the gone but not forgotten Eagles.
So, my question is:
Who is your favorite Eagle of all time and why?
Mine is Artem Rybin. I remember him being very fast and providing great offence. I also really dig his name. haha.

I would have to say that Dean Ouellet was my favourite Screaming Eagle.
The reason being is that I believe he may have been the ultimate warrior for the Eagles and proved you didn't have to drop the gloves to be a warrior. So often on a PK he'd block a howitzer from the point and limp around until his shift was over while still doing his job. Dean never took a shift off, was always valuable without the puck as much as he was with it, and was just a consummate example to every other player on how to play the game right.
It's no surprise that as a captain, Deano guided a roster of primarily rookies through a 40 win season, a playoff defeat of Jonathan Bernier, and a spirited 5 game loss against a stacked Halifax roster in a series of very close games of great intensity. If you ask any of that year's rookies how much Dean's leadership meant to them and where they are today, I'd wager that all of the responses would be overwhelmingly positive.
Also, Dean is one of the franchises most dependable point getters, while although sometimes not the most telling of stats at this level (pro camps, less years of service for elite players etc), irregardless Deano was a player who helped us win not only with the intangibles but he also had the goods of his own to push our team to victory. He was an exciting player to watch with the puck and had a knack for patience and good decision making.
I think Dean Ouelett was the 'everyman' of our team's history. While I'd obviously pick a guy like Sheppard or Fleury etc first overall might I be picking, if I'm picking a favourite its gotta be Dean Ouelett.

Dominic Noel
I remember back in 2002 and it was in the playoffs against the Mooseheads.. the Eagles were down 2-0 heading into the third period and then the Eagles scored 3 goals in a little over 1 minute.. Noel had 2 of those goals and the crowd just explored and it was probly one of the best memories and one of the player in my opinion but i there is many Eagles that could be fan favorites..
Dominic Noel is my favorite one of all time!!

I'd have to say Pierre-Luc Laprise, for two reasons.
1. He's the only Eagle I can think of off the top of my head who has the same birthday as me (though I'm sure there have been others). 2. He scored the overtime winner of the first Eagles playoff game I went to (game 5 in 2002 where we knocked out the Drakkar).
That's about it, really.
