If I recall, people said our vets are now gone to NHL camps and Halifax may have some more regulars in the lineup.
CB are 3-2 in preseason while Halifax are 2-2-0-1. Lapostolle leads CB with 3 g, 3 a Cheremetiev (3 g 3 a) and Andrews (2 g 4 a) lead Halifax scoring.
I wonder who will back up Holden when Roy is gone?
Go Eagles!
PS On a side note, the Canada/Russia Challenge, in its first year of a 3 year contract with sponsor Subway, will be held in Drum and Shawi this year.

I think you herd right they are gone or going very soon. I got it from someone very close to Melvin Day that he will be backing up Holden when the season starts and while Roy is away. Also further to that Roy appearently left Wensday for Edmonton's camp.

Damn - our skeleton squad came back from an 0-3 deficit to win 5-3. Stinziani started the rally with two goals. JS Fournier scored the winner on the powerplay with just over 10 minutes left. Hertzberg added the insurance with less than two minutes to go, his first of the preseason. Three of our five goals were on the PP. Nice display of the mental game on the part of Chris Holden to shake off an 0-3 deficit in the first ten minutes and shut the opposition out the rest of the way. I make all these comments of course in the context of the fact it was a meaningless exhibition game. We finish the preseason with a 4-2 record for what that's worth, next up the season opener against Halifax on Sept 11 - a week from tonight. Goaltending matchup in that one should be the same as it was this evening - Holden against Mathieu Corbeil.

I see we had two call ups with the team in Halifax last night Wes Herrett and Melvin Day. Wonder how long they will be with the team? Probably until the other's get back from their respective camps. On another note great win last. Nice to hear the boys come back after being down. Sounds like Holden had a great game after the first.

I think battling back from a 0-3 deficit shows a lot of character, pre-season or not. Big ups to our vet Stinziani for getting the ball rolling and Holden for shaking it off and pulling through.
