I mentioned that Desjardains scored a nice goal and Moosefan brought up how our powerplay looked.
For those who saw it: the last Goal, on the powerplay was freaking amazing. Grant cross ice to Knotek then back cross ice to Bahm for a tap in. IMO was definately up there on the list of impressive power play goal........ Comments?

It reminded me alot of how Lewiston ran their power play ( at least at the MC) back in 2004-2006 with the seam pass from the point to the wall and then back door all in one swoop. It was beautiful but also helped out by shitty defensive play by Val D-Or. The boys just have confidence- even the young guys; for example there was Gelinas PP goal in St John on Wednesday on a sweet one-timer.

Overall a great game. First period we dominated them, we were crisp, and the PP was executing dispite not scoring. Corbeil didn't have to make many saves in that 1st, but the ones he did were big. If not for him making those saves, the game could have turned, and the outcome could have been different. But nice to have him play well, thus giving us a chance in the game.
I think in a span of 10mins we saw the best of Garrett Clarke, followed by the worst. He laid out Sauve with a huge hit as Sauve came across the blueline, he laid out someone else. He was skating hard, playing great. Then had 2 brutal turnovers that could have turned into goals if not for Corbeil. Overall he's turning into a force, but he's got to be more mentally sharp at times. Its nice that he has the calmness and poise to his game, but he is sometimes too casual and it leads to turnovers.
Great to have the secondary scoring. How about Sawyer Hannay. He had his head down skating for his life lol. Great to see him rewarded. The top line played well again. But I agree with what Russell said in the papers about them being too cute. They're capable of making nice plays, but sometimes they just need to shoot the puck.
I'm just glad to see the guys were finally rewarded for their hard work. I think we played this well before, but in the other games, a bad bounces didn't go our way, or a bad goal and we lost those games. This games shows we're far better then our record and are capable of competing and beating most teams in this league. Hopefully PEI is healthy enough to play tomorrow. Would be nice to carry this momentum into a game and not wait 3-4 days to play. I don't want to jinx anything, but a win tomorrow would give us our first winning streak in a year and a half!!!!!!!!

WTG Moose man that first win at home feels so so good it made my night thanks boys who says we need a new goalie, secondary scoring, and our PP sucks our PP was 2/6 or better tonight. The boys looked extremely happy the 4,000 gave them a standing Ovation they had the sticks slamming on the ice a salute and thank you to the fans for being so patient. I'm really excited for the next few years and tmr nights game now!!!! WTG boys and Matt was outstanding tonight nothing wrong with our goaltending!!!

Have to agree that when Corbeil challenges the shooter and competes like he did tonight we are good team and we need him to do it often. All the players made contributions and the fans appreciated their effort with a rousing ovation at games end. Great job by all. Go-Moose-Go

Hard to believe our 2nd/3rd line is Gelinas-Andrews-Desjardins.... 17 - 16 - 17 and they're fun to watch and played very well. Lemieux I thought was big tonight throwing hits and creating turnovers and chances.
Hannay is a guy that's tough not to like... I hope he keeps developing and becomes a regular and the big, tough, physical player that it looks like he could be. It was great to see him score... a bit funny actually... he's a guy that you could have pictured picking up his first Q goal halfway through his 19 year old season.
The stabilizing Stoddard - Bety - Bahm line looks like something team needed. Three guys you can put out there to just quiet the game down with veteran two way play.
The only thing I didn't really like is that Charland was acting tough all game and you knew him and Clarke were going to go when they got out of the box. Metcalfe should have been out there and invited their 20 year old to go when he got out of the box. Clarke is tough and had a big physical game but he doesn't need to fight as much as he has been considering he's been playing so well for the Moose... and the fact that I think he just turned 17 this week.
For such a good game by the Moose they gave up a ton of big chances, Corbeil had a huge game. Hope he keeps it up.

Great game tonight IMO. Thought Corbeil played very well in net. Nice to see some scoring come from some different players. And a great standing ovation at the end of the game by the fans. Go Moose Go and hoping for some more wins in the near furture!

Finally the boys get rewarded for their play. I think its clear when we get secondary scoring we can win any game against any team. Corbeil was outstanding and I am starting to feel like we have a strong goalie for the future. Looking forward to the game tommorrow night, but hopefully we remember how good it feels to win and play just as hard.
Loved the fiddle player for the anthem, hope he plays again tommorrow.
