Hoping our two young leaders on defense are not hurt too bad and will be back tomorrow evening against Bai Comeau ..Would it be wonderful if the boys win the game tomorrow and finish this home stand four wins...

Another solid performance, great game tonight. I was thinking going into the game how nice it would be to steal this one with Baie Comeau in town tomorrow. Little did I expect us to actually pull it out.
For this team to be without Abeltshauser for basically the whole game, have Clarke out for 15 mins with a misconduct (not sure why he got it) and hold off on of the top teams in the league a win a 1 goal game is something to applaud. Gillard, Hannay, Metcalfe all played a ton of mins to make up for the absenses and all played well. Very few mistakes, and more importantly no glaring turnovers in our own zone. The D overall has improved a lot the last couple weeks. Lets hope the injuries to Clarke and Abeltshauser aren't too too serious. It looks like both are out tomorrow, but hopefully neither miss chuncks of time. Corbeil was solid again, what else can you say about this kid. He didn't have to be as spectacular as last weekend, but still made some big, key saves, and again had great rebound control.
Lets keep this rolling tomorrow, and not have a let down against BC. Hopefully Brunet, Pelletier and Bernard can come back in tomorrow and keep things going.

What a great game tonight! I can't believe the improvement in the whole team since the last game I saw(probably over a month ago). The last minute was a little dicey with Randell missing the empty net. I had visions of another Patric Stefan moment but thankfully it turned out okay. Corbeil played a great game and had no chance on the one goal Moncton scored. I hope that Konrad is okay. The defense really stepped up tonight after he got hurt and Metcalfe and Clarke both got 15 minutes in penalties. (Did they both get nabbed for not having their jerseys tied down?) I thought there would be a bigger crowd there but at least they were enthusiastic. Let's go for four in a row tomorrow night!

Great game by the Moose they worked hard tonight,as I said to my friend on the way home tonight its actually fun to go to the rink again. I don't think I've been as happy as I've been the last 2 weeks in a long time, this team is really important to me and it was hard to watch them lose ;but last weekend they turned a major corner and 1st star for 3rd straight game our young goalie I'm already excited for tomorrow night Go Moose Go!!!
Konrad and Garret out for tomorrow evening after leaving Fri nights game heres to hoping they'll be fine to go next weekend after a weeks rest!!!

You guys didn't win. The Wildcats beat themselves. You guys played a decent game but the Cats took you guys way too lightly, I don't know why since your average Moose ways what? A thousand pounds?

I really buried that spelling error in there. In all fairness though, just be happy you could understand what I was trying to say, it was 3am. See you all tonight for round two. GO DRAKKAR GO!

You guys didn't win. The Wildcats beat themselves. Lack of scoring depth maybe?

Very rarely do I have to ask a rule question, but what were the two 10 minutes misconducts for. Both had jerseys tied, neither took equipment off, what else warrants a 10?

I didn't see the fights ... but often you'll get a 10 if you celebrate on the way to the box (waving arms to pump up bench and crowd ... pretending to have "the belt" on, etc) ... or take off your helmet (if it isn't already off) and drop it to the ice. Did anything like that happen ?

Did anything like that happen ? The eastlink guys said he got it for taking the Wildcats helmet off... is this a rule now? You pull the other guys helmet off and its a 10 min? Sometimes it will pop off as you are yanking or grabbing at the guy. Hopefully refs can NOT call it if its seen that way. As for the game, another solid game, thats 4 excellent games in a row for this team and Corbeil in particular. His size helps make up for those times that he's lost the puck or is out of position, but he is very confident right now. Moncton controlled more of the game, which is to be expected, but they certainly werent much better than the moose on this night. Both teams looked similar, hard work but not a whole lot of finesse.
