The Moncton Wildcats (and some of their fans) invade the Metro Centre tonight.
The Moose put their first winning streak of the season on the line while Moncton is on a 2 game losing skid, although they had 12 days off between games.
Moncton is 12-6-1-2 to sit 3rd in the Atlantic, 7th over all while our Moose are 3-18-0-1.
In Gormley and Kabanov Moncton has 2 players who are being mentioned as possible top 10 picks in the draft. It will be interesting to see how Kabanov compares to a 17 year old Vorachek.
Leading the Moose into tonights battle will be point a game and leading goal scorer Thomas Knotek and reining defensive player of the week Mathieu Corbeil.
Randy Cameron 21-6-13-19, Scott Brannon 19-11-7-18, Mark Barberio 19-3-15-18 lead the Wildcats.
I expect a good crowd tonight with a chance to see some top NHL prospects, people in town for the AUS football final and a chance to upset a top Maritime rival.
Although we are on a two game winning streak we will be in tough tonight against a talented team. The only time we played them this year was an 8-1 trashing in Moncton. Hopefully the boys can show they have come a long way from that game and will keep it interesting.......and then you never know.
GO MOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and GO HUSKIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

We'll get a little help. Kabonov not playing, injured according to John Moore's twitter site.

Why have Brunet and Bernard been scratched? Are they injured?

Why have Brunet and Bernard been scratched? Are they injured? Both had the flu last week. They were healthy scratches tonight since Cam wanted to keep the roster the same as last weeks. I expect both will be in the line update tomorrow night. Brunet for Konrad and Bernard for Costello.

That win was HUGE, they played a solid game from start to finish and beat a very good team, lets see it carry on tomorrow night.
Great game boys.

WHAT A GAME......... Mathieu Corbeil is in the zone, I have seen goaltending against us like that but I honestly can't remember the last time we had three solid performances like that for us. His save percentage in the last three games is .971.................sick
The line of Stoddard/Bahm and Betty were outstanding once again, physical, created chances and for the most part we were not in trouble when they were on the ice.
Just another good team effort, mistakes were made but the whole team worked hard and were fun to watch.
I hope Abeltshauser and Clarke are not hurt too bad, both are important to the team.
Crowd was into the game, especially in the third and was edge of seat material as we were on a PP and they had an empty net. Good drill next practice might be shooting on an empty net LOL.
Was big fun...........
GO MOOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
