Another year done, another year out of the playoffs but with optimism towards the future even with the worst year for the Mooseheads as far as points goes. I open this thread for our fans just to speak about their best memory or what they feel was the best moment this year watching the Mooseheads. Mine was on November 13 when the Mooseheads beat the Wildcats 2-1 in what I believe to have been one of the best games at the MC over the last couple seasons. I also made some message board acquaintances that evening, Pens23- our spelling policeman; to serve and correct was his motto , the artist formerly known as hollywood; now the situation , Mr. Arnold Slick as well as Webber and QManiac ( nice to finally put our online feud to rest ;D)

That games stands out in my mind as well. It is always fun when Pens and Arnold are in town. I must say there was not too many night I left frustrated, although there were a few.
The game against Val-d'Or when there was only about 3000 in the seats (4,800 paid) and we won 6-1 to end a 12 game losing streak was a fun night. For a small crowd it was lively and it felt like we had won a playoff game, not ended a 12 game skid, that was fun.
Beating Cape Breton on Feb 6 was sweet as well. A good crowd that night and the boys played well. Hanney took on Palin early, and did all right and the game was close till the end.
I also got to meet a few Halifax posters this year that I enjoyed talking too and for me it made the evening that much more enjoyable.
A shout out to Fred the Moose, howitzer(when he is not supporting Bathurst),moosefan1994,blt (even though he put me out of LMS) and Qmaniac. Hope to meet a few more next year. I will be back in Section 6.

November 13 stands out to me too that was a great feeling beating Moncton; the games we beat Cape Breton. Our last home game of the season and the Players awards, Moose skate with the fans I just had so much this being my first as a season ticket Holder and I look forward to Sept and being back in Sec 11. I also got to meet moosefan1994 this season and it was nice to have a few chats with him. I'm really excited for Sept the future looks real bright for Halifax.

I find a lot of the best memories stem from some underdog type moments.
I found one of the best stories from this year to be that of Sawyer Hannay. He was a longshot to make the team and it was great to see him make it. But even then you figured he'd be a 7th-8th Dman and get little ice time. A couple injuries and some great play later and for a while he's playing as a top 4 Dman and handling it well. Most improved for sure.
Two memories with him... Countless losses and a horrible start to the year with Val D'or at the MC. Val D'or who we played a couple weeks earlier and picked up our first and only win. Hannay steps out of the box and receives a breakaway pass from Gelinas heading in to score his first Q goal... Moose win 6-1 and salute the fans.
Another good memory came only a couple games before the Val D'or home ice win... I got to watch the boys in CB late October, we're about two minutes in and I see Bernard and a Moosehead dropping thier gloves... must be Metcalfe who in prior years had a few good fights with Bernard but no, it's Hannay. You have to realize that at this point of the year Hannay is just a young 17 year old D who's got a bit of grit and only has one fight about 20 game into the season. Kid I don't think this is a good idea. A flurry of punches later and Bernard actually seems on the defensive and Hannay is chucking them and doing well. Now CB fans after seemed to feel Bernard got the edge but after the fight the place was pretty quite outside of a Moose bench full of player cheering on Hannay, welcoming the arrival of their new, young fighter.
The win vs. CB with the twin tower D pairing of Abeltshauser and Amyot going against the big CB forwards and shutting them down. That was fun as were the other wins vs. top teams.
Not one specific memory but the establishing of what I hope is a great new rivalry with Saint John. These teams just hated each other at the MC this year. Hannay dropping them with Thomas and then Lewis chucking them with Thomas later in the same game. Saint John trying to run up the score and the Moose not being impressed with that. And was it the last game here where Clarke steamrolled Petersen and Kelly (?) and had SNB running after him all game. Those were some of the most hate filled and entertaining games this year and I hope intensity sticks around for next year.

But the season was a real fun season got to say hi to many of posters and still crap on afew too..I am now in count down to training camp wondering what moves will have to be done in June...Really think the Thank you from #9 may also be the nicest and warmest thank you in our 16 years here too...Best Wishes to him and hoping he has a great life in hockey and School or what ever he does...

Similar to moosefan1994, me favourite moment included the weekend that we toppled Moncton and Baie-Comeau in back to back nights. Pens and Arnold were pretty sour after the Cats got beat by the Moose so over a few beers downtown they decided to stay another night to "watch the Moose lose" and we proceeded to take it to the Drakkar as well. ;D The look of anxiousness on moosefan1994's face was priceless as he approached pens to do a little gloating for the first time in a couple years.

I have to say it was the off ice stuff I enjoyed the most. Starting right at the draft with Cam pulling the trigger on a few trades. Then the draft itself. Picking guys that he scouted himself ending up being great picks, in Carl, Hannay, and Gillard. Then the Euro draft getting Konrad someone no one new and in my mind giving him a chance to get drafted. Then some how getting something for Yiri then stealing McDonald from PEI for spare parts. Can't wait to see what he has brewing for this draft.

My best memory of the 2009/2010 hockey season is Crosby scoring a goal in OT to win the Gold Medal at the Olympics. Thread title didn't specify Moose moment. ;D
