The Halifax Mooseheads cut six players from their pre-season roster before departing for New Brunswick on Saturday to visit the Saint John Sea Dogs.
Forwards Ryan Nickerson, Brett Bernard and Derek Trider, defencemen Lucas Dawe and Jonathan Pelletier and goaltender Jean-Christophe Roy-Boulet were all released, leaving 37 players remaining from the 45 that started camp on Wednesday.
Trider, Dawe and Roy-Boulet were tryouts. Bernard was a late-round pick in 2009 and Nickerson and Pelletier were free agents on the Mooseheads' protected list.

Wuest has an article on it.
