Interesting story. The OHL club is really just taking direction from the Doctors and the Neurologist that signed off on him playing. I can't see them being held liable when they are relying on the professionals to make the decision. I'm wondering about the crash that left him unconscious ... was it his fault ... or somebody else's fault ? If he is suing the team, and not the driver(s), then it tells me that it was probably his own fault ... but just speculating. IF he settled that insurance claim, was the affect on his future earnings considered ? We don't get $12 million insurance awards in Canada. It will be tough for him to prove his future value of earnings ... and the whole scouting process may come under scrutiny to try to validate or invalidate that number. I wonder if his parents are required to sign off on him playing after the accident ? It seems to suggest he was 17 at the time.

Maxime Desruisseaux is an assistant coach with the Victoriaville Tigres. Won his first game tonight as head coach with Bruce Richardson away at the Under 17s.

I did not know former Wildcat Maxime Desruisseaux was an assistant coach with the Tigres. Good to know.

François Parenteau ?@fparenteau · 20m20 minutes ago Suspension levée pour Cameron Yarwood, rapporte @lanouvellenet. On lui reprochait de mâcher du tabac à l’aréna #LHJMQ
Suspension lifted, it was related to chewing tobacco at the rink...

one of the all time great Cats He wasn't a guy that was what I would call incredibly talented, but his work ethic, speed and intelligence made him very good. I tend to have less attachment to players that go onto pro careers that only spent a short time in Moncton ... less than a full season. Guys like Francois Beauchemin, Philip Danault, Gabriel Bourque ... sort of hired guns for a short period. Its great that they have gone on to success and the team can claim a little part of contributing to their success ... but I have far less attachment to them than say guys like David Savard, Mark Barberio, Corey Crawford, Brandon Gormley, etc. ... even everybody's favourite guy to hate Brad Marchand.

I agree, I certainly didn't think James was ready for the AHL. hard to hone your skills sitting on the bench.
