Of the top picks (ie 1-5ish) it's looking like Drouin might be the best one based on future seasons. It's easy in hindsight but if i had #1 I would have taken him (and I did actually say that at the time to BB!) that was a mistake on my part......if I had it to do over again, I would take him also. I really haven't been involved in hockey pools before that much, so really didn't take much into consideration for the keeper part of it. Live and learn, I guess.

That's one reason why I think Frederick Gauthier was far and away by best pick and a really great pick in round 6 to boot. I think Hudon was a solid pick too at where I got him as a two-year player.

My best pick would have been Dunn if I had of got him when I tried at 178. I have a team full of underachievers. Probably my worst pick was Alex Dubeau at 26. I almost snagged him in round 1, but went for someone I thought might get to 90 points in Philippe Maillet. I was ecstatic to get Dubeau in round 2... now I don't know what to do with him. It's even worse that he's 18 when I consider trying to look at my options. My 3rd rounder was Guillaume Gauthier and I honestly thought he'd really be putting up nice numbers this year, but he only has a platry 6 points in 15 games. Ditto with my 4th rounder in Anthony Cortese (4 points in 12 games). The teams that are doing well seem to have one guy who's really putting up big numbers and I don't have anyone close to doing that. cb Best: Vincent Dunn 174th Worst: rock Regimbald, because I already had two 20's lol.

I'm pretty pleased with Miceli so far.
Of course, it still doesn't erase the Sylvegard shame from my face.

Edit: This list is dominated by guys playing in Abitibi-Témiscamingue A few vets there, so depending on the gap for how good the picks are. If there's not much in it a 17yo could be a better option than a vet. But it depends on your teams philosophy. That's what makes this so fun with a long-term option there are different tactics so different views on hat might be a better pick.

Drouin was the player I wanted going into the draft, but I didn't expect him to slip out of the top-5. Safe to say I was pretty excited to snag him at #6. Easily my best pick.

Woohoo! Trudeau got a shutout tonight. Crappiest goaltender in the pool.
