really their isn't much to chose from either division, there are good teams in both, the east with less teams has more balance then the west with 2 extra teams the last 2 drummondville and rimouski haven't been very good although rimouski does have talent they just are clicking.
if you look at hulls record they are 5-4 against the east in road games and are currently 4-0 in home games so they obviously will have the edge in their games against the east, although seeing the overall record other teams have obviously not done very well against the east, although probably rim and drumm are the worst.
one last thing though is the west will have the tougher playoff run, seeing that there are 3 top teams, rou, hull ,b.c., one of them will be out in the 2nd round barring upsets of course, where as in the east with hal, and saint john, being the 2 top teams they can both advance to the 3rd round, again barring upsets, and then cross over where they could both advance or both lose or one from each.
so tougher playoff for the west but pretty even overall.

I dont agree on the tougher playoff for Telus... One of them will likely be out in rd 2...but more than likely a Telus team will have a much easier cross over than say Halifax...assuming no upsets on either side...

Yea I agree the top four will be good and anything can happen. In the 7 game series tired teams, momentum, injuries, penalties/ lucky breaks and the team peaking at the right time become more important than what people see right now.

We were leading then the ref gave you guys a penalty shot without anyone ever having been on a breakaway. And despite this kind of officiating in inter-conference games, we STILL have a better record as a conference versus you guys. And you talk of teams having to battle, someone has to go through Bernier to advance. Someone has to beat the Foggies (the rock is not a fun place to play). Someone has to beat C-B. These are not easy matchups. Part of what make the East easier is that the west is going to donate a crap team to our playoffs. They will be fodder.

One of the worst I've ever seen. There is such a thing as Hull, Look at a map. And then wake up and get a clue.

No, there isn't. Such a personal attack is unnecessary, and especially so when the city CHANGED their name. There is no Hull. Does not exist. It is called Gatineau. Not Hull.
And as for Hullbob, maybe you should have watched the game. Because that was what the penalty shot was awarded for, not for a thrown stick, but rather for hauling a guy down on a breakaway when he clearly was not. In fact, he wasn't even closer to the net than the defender at the time.
Maybe you two should learn a little bit of respect and take some time to think out your posts before you post them, because garbage like that does not in any way improve these boards.

lol And Gatineau were staked a 3-0 lead before getting steamrolled by Halifax, and BC lost 4-0 in Halifax... how teams look coming through Moncton has no weight on reality, or else we'd be saying Quebec and Chicoutimi are better than Gat and BC... Mon vs Lewy Mon vs Bathurst Hal vs CB ...just some examples of how rivalries will sometimes make games closer than they should be Moncton vs. Lewy?? Huh?? I don't look at Moncton vs. Lewy as a "rivalry"... it's just that the year we won the Q, we had a tough time beating them... and the year they won the Q, they had a tough time beating us. I wouldn't call that a rivalry... that's a coincidence. The only real "bad blood" between the two teams happened during the MAINEiacs first year in the league, when Olivier Legault highsticked Nathan Saunders and they fought in the penalty box in pre-season... and that incident was over and done with within a period of two games. PEI and even the Sea Dogs are bigger rivals to the Cats than Lewiston, IMO. I wouldn't consider Mct vs A-B much of a rivalry either.....I've seen A-B play here 3 times this year and every single game I'd laugh about how it's supposed to be a big "rivalry".No intensity in those games whatsoever....and I'm even willing to go as far as saying that Baturst is one of the last teams I enjoy going to watch at the Coliseum. If it was such a rivalry do you really think Bathurst would've sat out their top guns vs Moncton at the end of the of the 05-06 season allowing Moncton to clinch 1st overall over Quebec by 1 point

Also, you are talking about home games... All the east teams that came here had a rough time and Quebec is an average team (probably the youngest in the league) We beated Saint John, Saint John's, Cape-Breton and lost to PEI with our backup with 4 second left. You talk about Halifax and Baie-Comeau... Baie-Comeau was playing its 3rd game in 48 hours. The rivalry East-West is something pretty bad to compare divisions. You gotta keep in consideration the travel and all. When you travel here and play Val D'or, Rouyn and Gatineau who are 1h apart... and we go there play Moncton, Halifax and Cape-Breton... Look at the weaknesses??? Halifax has what? 2 D-man and the rest? A good goalie?? St-John has depth? So young... a goalie? Right now I would pick Rouyn and Baie-Comeau ahead of Halifax. When Chemistry gel I might change my mind... and this is just on paper More than one hour between Rouyn and Gatineau 2 hours between Moncton and Halifax. About 1 hour from Moncton to Saint John and Charlottetown. Travelling to St. John's is a piece of cake. It all evens out over the year. You must fly to Saint John from Moncton lol! It takes 1-1/2 hrs to go to S-J and at least 2-1/2 hrs to get to Hfx and another 1-1/2 to get to Ch'Town....that's considering of course you'd drive about 120 the whole way. I wonder how long you think it takes to get to Sydney?1-3/4 hrs ::)or 45 minutes once you've passed Truro ;D

No, there isn't. Such a personal attack is unnecessary, and especially so when the city CHANGED their name. There is no Hull. Does not exist. It is called Gatineau. Not Hull. That's like saying there is no 'Dartmouth' or 'Bedford' anymore because of the amalgamation of the HRM. Let me tell you, those places are still there. As for the penalty shot thing, maybe you should have explained it better, because what I understood from your post is that the only a way a penalty shot can be called AT ALL, is if there is a breakaway, and that is plain wrong.
