There has been a few good crowds the last few weeks for the boys, and I expect the crowds will grow during the play-offs too. Our last few games at home
vs Moncton Jan 10 :8,626 vs Bathurst Jan 11:8,779 vs Charlottetown Jan 15(make up game from Jan 3) 7, 121 vs Chicoutimi Jan 24, I just did a best available seat online for 2 people for next weekend and its giving me upper bowl. and the same for Sat night against Cape Breton all that's left is upper bowl.

I wholeheartedly agree; it's very disappointing we're not selling out games. Very sad

I wholeheartedly agree; it's very disappointing we're not selling out games. Very sad What do you agree with exactly? lol. Having MacKinnon and such a fantastic team last year was a great boost to the process of gaining all those fans back that we lost with 3 years of Junior A hockey. But it'll take a consistent effort and a team that constantly establishes direction for the attendance to come back to where it was before. We have more 15-game pack holders and season ticket holders than last year. So even though the average attendance is down, the number of core fans have risen. A little luck with injuries would increase attendance as well, as we definitely would have more wins at home with a more complete roster.

When team, VIP tickets etc. are released on gameday, is it normally done in the morning or afternoon?

I heard Wednesday's attendance was done by at least 50-60 people who didn't make it to the game because they were still waiting for food at the new sports bar up the street at 10 pm.

Although I do get a kick out of people that go to a brand new establishment and expect flawless service in the first week it's open. Every place is a disaster for the first few weeks of operation. I am extremely eager to check out HFX Sports, but I am waiting a few weeks for them to work out the kinks, get their kitchen running properly and the initial hype to die down.

I don't think flawless is what people are looking for, but expectations of decent service seems reasonable.I spoke with 2 friends last night that went there and had a very, very long wait for beer and food. If you are going to invest $2.5 million in building a sports bar, and push the hype yourself, then you ought to be well-prepared with well trained staff right out of the gate. Failing to do that is dropping the ball. The new Finbars in Portland Hills is a prime example of being well-prepared in advance of opening. They opened with flawless service right out of the gate.

I agree with you, but it's just not the norm for a restaurant/bar to offer good service or food in the first week or two of operation. Your example is the minority in my experience, unfortunately.
But honestly with the same ownership as the Palace, I really don't expect much from a service standpoint, and ultimately that will be their downfall. I have heard quite a few bad experiences so far. The only hope I have is that they announced they won't open until 4:30pm this week due to staff training, so it seems they are attempting to address the issue. Although service/experience should be the primary focus for any establishment to provide right out of the gate.
I just know better so i'm going to wait a while so I don't ruin it for myself lol

I wouldn't doubt if they split up some of the new workers between the new location and the one in Sunnyside Mall. Just to ease the growing pains.
