Lower the Prices for Tickets I got season Tickets but the other night when i went to Doolys after a game and got talking about the Rocket, alot of People think it is way to expensive to go see a Rocket game, They said that They arent worth the $$, and why i asked , well we can go to a panthers game or a Abbies game for Cheaper, just the word round the street Well of course you can go to a panthers or abbies game for cheaper, it is a full level below the Q. Based on that system the NHL should be charging 5-10$ per game.. Since when is CIS hockey a step below the Q ? CIS hockey has older players and most of them have played Major Jr ... some even played pro. CIS is where 21 YO Q players go to play after they are too old to play Jr ... do they suddenly become out of shape old men ?

I mentioned this idea in an earlier thread on Season Ticket Sales.
Do a draw once or twice a month from the stubs collected from season ticket holders to give away a season ticket for the balance of the season. The winner already has a seat but with the free seat for the rest of the season they will be introducing someone to the Rocket who may well become a supporter. It is not a great prize the season ticket holder but the up side is generating support and this will strengthen the organization, and that is good for the season ticket holder.

anyone who thinks the rocket would beat the aus teams is kidding themselves. it would be men against boys. there is no way the rocket, or any q team beats the likes of u de m, unb, or most any team in the league.

I was actually just referring to the Junior A hockey with that comment and not CIS, I had forgotten that the panthers were UPEI. My mistake.

A suggestion I made on here last season was to target some major companies and give them a deal on tickets, usually you can get a group rate. There are several large companies on PEI, and in Charlottetown particular that should be targeted for group sales, it would definetly put some asses in the seats. My work has done this every year, but it's always the last home game of the season. If approached, I'm sure they would do one or 2 Sunday games a year.

take a look around the rink.. lots of empty advertising slots nowadays.. that should tell you what the problem is.. they need corporate sponsors.. to get them tho they have to change their "big city" mindframe
get out there and mingle with your fanbase.. and do it with a welcoming smile not a surly frown
