I hope/expect a much better effort from the Cats tonight but the Armada will probably up the intensity as well. They didn't seem like they were really trying after they had a 1-0 lead until the Cats tied it up.
The Cats will need Dubeau to be on his game again tonight.
Caissy will be serving the last game of his suspension, I'm guessing Bradley will be back in the lineup in his place but I don't know that for a fact. Walcott will be returning to the Armada lineup.
The Wildcats need to stop trying to be fancy and start crashing the crease like they did on their only goal yesterday.

I'd play Halabi if healthy instead of Bradley, might bring some energy on the few shifts he plays.

Really hope we get an intense, playoff style game tonight.
The first two games were exciting and had lots of action. Last night there was nothing. Just a lot of guys standing around and watching Blainville play a perfect road game.

Also I think they mentioned ticket sales for tonight to be better....4500 range perhaps? Looking forward to going. It's been a while.

It really confuses me why they don't try and bring in some more groups for these games. Maybe give out some tickets to local schools. Its pretty much well known the first round doesn't draw, im sure you aren't going to piss off too many playoff package holders by having some more butts in the seats for a better atmosphere.

Not better than last night. They need to realise it's the playoffs and soon.

Nope, not ready to play yet. It would be nice to see them show a bit of intensity, and maybe throw the odd hit.

You mean we cant show up and play 20 of our last 120 minutes and win? Could have fooled me. Ya maybe BLB got comfortable but we pressed the play a whole hell of a lot more... It just baffles me why it took 5 periods of hockey. Why in gods name can you not get jacked up for the playoffs, the way they played here you think they came back from BLB down 3 games to none, not tied..... too little too late on the sense of pride, compete level!

Up until that 3rd period the Cats had scored more goals on the road than they had created scoring chances at home. At least it was an exciting final period, but super frustrating at the same time.

Methinks the season will end this Thursday, perhaps that is a good thing. Regroup and retool for the next season, having said that, have to say this year was better that expected/predicted.

Another 48 minutes of half effort hockey ... then 12 mins of passion where we score 3 and threatened to tie it up.
We played one game where we were intense for most of the game ... and we won.

Shots on goal aren't always a good indication of how the game went but I think this sums it up perfectly for this game.
Blainville-Boisbriand 16 14 2 32 Moncton 5 6 12 23
It's great to see the Cats dominate the third period but it's frustrating because it leaves you wanting more. It leaves you wondering why they couldn't even come close to matching that intensity in the first 2 periods? The Cats roll 4 lines way more than BLB does so I'm not surprised they have more energy in the third than they do but the Cats could up the intensity in the first two periods.
It's normal for such a young team to be inconsistent though. At least they made the end of the two home games entertaining. Hopefully with the season on the line they can play with the sense of urgency for 60 minutes or more.

I'm not convinced the Cats woke up in the 3rd......I just think BLB took a step back and took their foot off the gas. For the first two periods they gave the Cats no time, no space, no nothing. I can't get over how fast they are and their forecheck and general pressure left the Cats scrambling.
Couple of general points...
1) I'm sure Dubeau wants that 3rd goal back. He has to stop that shot.....he played a decent game though and I felt putting Rioux in for the 3rd period was a good move.
2) Donnelly, Donnelly, Donnelly...I thought he played an absolutely brutal game. He should be a leader on the ice at this stage but pass after pass in the skates or off the mark entirely. He's wasting space as far as I can see.
3) Hopefully Caissie's return helps them out a little.
I say we'll take game 5 but lose in 6.
Go Cats.
