Strange series so far... Moose feel like they are driving the flow of the game, but can't finish with 2 posts, VD blocking our best shots etc... meanwhile VD just shoot it from the point and have 3 of their 4 goals that way. We can certainly play with these guys, we could just use some secondary scoring right now and we need to finish on the big chances.

As an eagles fan, I was all for the moose this playoffs, but all I've heard about is how their happy the moose are losing because of drouin skating around "shh" ing the crowd against gatineau. He sure made some enemies with his antics. Reminds me a bit of march and against us when he was in valdor.

Well hey... adversity! This is fun... right? lol
Time to go win 2 in VD. We carried the play all game, at times 5 on 5 looked like our PP. VD doing a much better job than I thought they could do at blocking shots... so many great chances went bouncing into the corners. We hit posts, Gadoury fumbled the puck on the penalty shot, shots missing the top shelf by inches etc. If we can outplay them this much in VD (and its probably not likely) surely these chances will start paying off. We can certainly do to them what they did to us here - weather the pressure and score on our chances. I certainly won't count this team out until they lose their fourth game.

This group has survived worse. Need to keep our composure and do our job up in val d'or. A couple of breaks and we're back in this thing. What did weegar do at the end? Nothing stupid I hope.

Mooseheads are done- stick a fork in em. There won't be a Game 5 let alone a Game 7.

Well....that was frustrating. Hard to win a game when you give up a 3-0 lead in the first 7 minutes. I said last night that Fucale had to be better. He wasn't, and that was the difference in this game.
After mounting a pretty good comeback that crosschecking call on Meier put the game out of reach. What a fucking weak call in a close game after letting all kinds of stuff go, including a blatant slash on Drouin who was breaking in alone. That call changed the game. Speaking of Meier, he's been an absolute beast the last 2 games. He's really elevated his play. Unfortunately, Ryan and Ciampini went the other direction.
The only positive coming from these 2 losses is that we are thoroughly outplaying VD for the most part. They don't get any sustained pressure, most of their shots come off the rush and it's back up the ice and we control the play.
We have to learn how to one time the puck because if you let Bibeau set he's going to stop the puck. He's huge in the net.
As bad as it is being down 2-0 going to VD, if we can get a win in game 3, it's a whole new series. Because like I said, we've been the better team. We can't get a bounce around the net meanwhile everything VD puts on the net finds a way in. If we can keep the pressure on them, goals will come. It's easier to play on your heels and be opportunistic on the road. At home your fans are gasping and groaning and it can make a difference with nerves. The next game dictates the series.

They have a long road back. Not to say they can't do it, they have the talent to do it, they've done this before. Going on the road isn't the worst thing for them right now. They can legitimately claim the underdog status, and have the "us against the world" mentality. It can relax a team. Need to start clicking on their passes. But a series comeback definitely won't be easy.
Bibeau has played much better than I thought he would; I underestimated him. Has probably gotten lucky a couple of times, but he's made the saves when Val D'Or has needed them. The Foreurs have used their size to their advantage.

The Gatineau game that was televised...Drouin was skating around shushing the crowd after you scored...the Sportsnet guys were talking about it the next day. Not the most sportsman thing in the world to do, but we see it all the time, and they are just kids. It doesn't bother me....think it's kinda funny actually. I'm sure others don't care for it as much. On the series.......has anyone mentioned weak division lately? That was a joke. dictionary.reference.com/browse/joke

You can argue whether it should or shouldn't have been called, but Meier was 200 feet from his own net. I like that he wanted to finish his check, but there was no need to do with his stick parallel to the ice, initiating contact to the guy's back, with the ref standing 3 feet away. Frustrating call for sure, and you're right, that was the game. But it was a dumb play, needless.

That was a joke. dictionary.reference.com/browse/jokeThe post made little sense... an eagle fan for one... saying "their" happy? Who? He made enemies? It reminds them of march when he was in Val Dor? I am totally confused lol As for the shush... the crowd were loudly booing him every second he touched the puck on that PP. So when he scored, he did the Shush thing for a few seconds. I thought it was funny only because it was a little interaction with the crowd who were so vocally booing him. I don't like when its showboating for no good reason.
