Rumor going around that Rocket rookie Branden Street will be staying here on the Island and will be playing with the Charlottetown Abbies.
Instead of sitting in the stands this season, he'll get plenty of ice time in the MJHAL and still get to play in some games with the Rocket!
Not sure if this is 100% sure.......
FW roster will be like this:
Walker-Mo-Latal Kana-Doyle-Locke Cliche-Lachaine-Schmidt Paynter-DesRoches-Main---if playing FW McKinley Wright MacLean

A conference call will be held between the Maritime Junior A Hockey League and the three Hockey Canada branches in the region to see if a compromise can be obtained to allow three players whose appeals were denied by a Hockey Canada appeals committee to suit up for their respective MJAHL teams.
One of those three players is Brandon Street.
Charlottetown Abbies are appealing the case of six foot forward Brandon Street from Bonavista NL. Jeff Squires, general manager of the Abbies says he has been told he will hear later today what the decision is on Street.
Although in the case of Street, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team is requesting the player play there to be available as an affiliate.

Rookie centre Brandon Street has been sent to the Charlottetown Abbies of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. The Bonavista, N.L., native and Rocket’s second-round pick (27th overall) in 2007 played in four pre-season games but hadn’t dressed in seven regular-season contests.

Good to hear he's going someplace he'll get lots of ice time, plus he'll still be playing on PEI!
