Not to pick on you today, but lol. Bathurst is pretty much the bottom of the barrel when it comes to desirable places to play. Ryan would report anywhere if he'll report to Bathurst. I agree, this seems like very poor return for him. Can't believe they couldn't get a 2nd next year instead of the 5th this year. You (and anyone else) can pick out my mistakes on here if you choose to; thanks for pointing the earlier one out to me! I glanced at the table on the Q website and just assumed it read how I interpreted it. They set it up differently than most. I was wrong. I admit my errors and try to correct them. I assume they ran this trade by Ryan before they agreed to it to make sure he'd report. He'll play more on the top 2 lines there than he did here and can help teach their younger players. The Titan is almost the QMJHL version of Siberia, no one wants to go there and they haven't been well run in recent years. The other teams knew Russell had to trade one of his 20's and that put the value down at bit, but a 3 and a 5 is too low. I'm not sure I'd have made that trade, but they got a very good prospect coming back with the Dachyshyn pick. You guys make me laugh with the Siberia comparison. You will swallow these words in not too long. This franchise is changing at ultrasound speed. In fact, I am excited by what they accomplished today so far....great draft for them. Also I will wait for the Euro draft before making too many comments, but this one was totally unwarranted when you refer to the new ownership.

That's what you call "asset management"! It's unlikely those late picks will amount to anything, but you never know.

They still have a ways to go though. When both BAT and HFX have been good, they've played some exciting games. It'd be good to see the Irving arena fill up again.

In some scenarios getting an ultrasound is very slow!

Off-topic: 4 Americans now for Moncton. They just took a flyer on Krys. Seems like a really good idea if they can establish themselves as a good place for Americans to report to. They did a good job last year doing the same thing. I think people over rate the American angle. Quebec an the Maritimes are still better producers of elite talent than New England. Never understood why Q fans drool over American picks. Yes there some elite players, but there are also the Greers or Peters. Greer not so much but I'll take a guy like Peters in the 8th rd every year.

The fact he hasn't played 60 games in a season (in 4 years) also has to factor into his price. But yea seems to have waiting a little long. Is it a good deal for Bathurst? If Ryan can stay healthy it is a good price for them...but why are they acquiring 20 year olds (just confusing). They had Lafontaine yesterday, who's better than Ryan IMO. They nearly gave him away. Despite what the people in Bathurst might tell you about the new ownership, nothing changes in Bathurst. Staring at a last place finish again. Lafontaine was not coming back for personal reasons which I totally respect... He brought us Truchon-Viel and a 5th round pick....Truchon-Viel was a nice Phoenix prospect. Trading for Ryan was simply spending the same amount to replace him. The Titan desperately needed some size and they also got Corriveau and Beaton for Sullivan and a couple picks 2015. They will have about 20 rookie players at camp plus the ones invited and players back and some good quality ones at that. Criticizing the Titan was your hobby for the last few years but your downturn is coming fast...enjoy what you have while you have it.

Isn't that where Eichel plays? Don't believe so. Eichel's league was U16 I thought. Then he went to the USNTDP as a 16yo. Resop's league was U18. Kevin Resop ?@kevyrespo30 11m Proud to be drafted by @hfxmooseheads in the QMJHL draft Take it for what it's worth I guess.

This may be a stupid question, but can anyone here compare the QMEAA to the QMAAA? Just not sure what the QMEAA is.

There's some stats for goalie Kevin Martin. 3.55 GAA after 12 games; I don't know how good or bad his team was.
