A goaltender for the Mooseheads; Kevin Martin from Antoine Girourard 5-11 199.

Hope he can play nets as well as he can curl.
No stats on EliteProspects for him. Kinda wish we could've grabbed a goalie earlier than the end of the 6th round. If we don't trade for one soon next year might be a bit scary.

Off-topic: 4 Americans now for Moncton. They just took a flyer on Krys. Seems like a really good idea if they can establish themselves as a good place for Americans to report to. They did a good job last year doing the same thing.

If we don't trade for one soon next year might be a bit scary. I can't find any statistics on him either. I'm trying. I agree, I wish they addressed goalie earlier, but I'm guessing the kids Russell wanted were gone when they were choosing. Maybe a trade or possible free agent signee? When you're picking low, it's hard (if not impossible) to get the top level players. With every draft though you need to wait a couple of years to see how these kids develop (whichever ones report here). I'll give Russell and his crew the benefit of the doubt.

Should have taken a goalie instead of Crossley. I am guessing the Martin pick is quite a reach.

That size at 15 years old? I'm guessing a project at least for now. Hopefully he can develop into a valuable/useful player.

Big bugger for a 15. Doesn't look like he has any hate in him.

Baie-Comeau just traded for our 8th round pick. Don't know what we got yet. Hopefully Vanier. ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) Edit: Their 7th rounder next year. Oh well.

They did a good job last year doing the same thing. I think people over rate the American angle. Quebec an the Maritimes are still better producers of elite talent than New England. Never understood why Q fans drool over American picks. Yes there some elite players, but there are also the Greers or Peters.

I just figure no one is picking them because they are American, and other teams don't spend as much time scouting mid-round American talent. American leagues might not develop as much talent, but more than likely if they report, they are worth more than the round they were picked at. I think that is what Moncton is going for.
