I know it is early in the season. I just noticed on the Q site today that Brett Morrison is leading the league in scoring. I think he has a good chance to finish in the top 5 scoring leaders for the year. I hope he puts up a lot of numbers and wins the scoring race. We are lucky to have him back this year. He is a good spark for the offense and is unreal in the face off circle. If only we could steady up the defensive corps. Then we would be in business.

Morrison, IMO, has been the most underrated player in the league the last few years. Why Gatineau traded this guy away is beyond my comprehension, I know they were trying to upgrade their goaltending but PEI defnitely got the better end of that exchange IMO.

If Jean keeps playing him the way he has so far, Morrison may not make it to the end of the season.

Morrison is an excellent player but it takes more than one guy to make a team. The rest of the team have to step it up and start playing. They can't rely on Morrison all the time. The Rocket have the talent depth, they just don't have it all together just yet.

The Rocket have the talent depth, they just don't have it all together just yet. Agreed. In a league where the dumbest playoff system in sports renders the regular season virtually meaningless, there's no excuse NOT to use all your roster players. This means rolling four lines most of the time. The only time when it makes sense to play your top players much more than the rest of the roster is during the playoffs, when the games actually mean something. Not good coaching to overuse your stars this early in the season, and it slows the development of your younger or lesser players. We saw it with the goaltending last year -Rocket had just about clinched a playoff spot by mid-January, but Lafleur was still in there, game in, game out. Then, when Lafleur fell apart in the Bathurst series (perhaps from playing too many games), there was no reliable help available for the Rocket, whereas coach Chabot of Bathurst had it all figured out, not hesitating to throw in a rookie between the pipes in Game 7, with the outcome that we know too well. PLAY EVERYONE ON A REGULAR BASIS DURING THE SEASON!

Brett has been playing great but he still doesn't look like he is at his best yet...Which is amazing for us.

PEI Rocket forward Brett Morrison and Quebec Remparts goaltender Kevin Desfossés today were named the TELUS offensive and defensive players of the week for the period extending from September 17 to 23.
In three games, Morrison registered five goals and two assists while maintaining a +5 (plus/minus) differential. Moreover, the four-year veteran had a hand in 10 of the team’s 18 goals. He enjoyed his best game against the Fog Devils in St. John’s on Friday as he collected two goals and one assist in a 6-1 win. Morrison was named the game’s third star. He currently sits atop the QMJHL scoring standings with 10 points.
Martin Latal (4-2-6) of PEI, Alexandre Monahan (4-1-5) of Victoriaville and Félix Petit (3-3-6) of Quebec were also considered.

He may be leading in scoring but he's also sitting even on his +/-.
He's getting to much ice time which leads to tired legs and often goals against. No need to push him this hard this early.

Morrison, IMO, has been the most underrated player in the league the last few years. . I remember in one of those free Q magazines the Rocket gave away, one of the polls were was who is the most overrated player in the Q and Top of the List was Morrison lol think it was a poll of Q players but not sure Also Walker leads the Q in Penalty minutes and Morrison also leads the league in Goals scored lol
