I like Clows game last night. He was one of the best D at actually making breakout passes. I know some people say hes soft, but I really think its more that he needs to learn to make a solid check.....he makes efforts to tke men out, but he needs to get a little physically stronger. He does not mind taking a ht eaither. If he can win a race to the puck....hes does and takes the hit. Having said that though, you can tell hes not doing what hes capable of and I think its because he is terrified to make a mistake....but I think that applies to about half the team. jean has them so screwed up mentally that they are not sure what to do.
Deighan on forward was not a surprise last night. He was not playing very well on D against St. John so they moved him up to forward at about the midpoint of the game...and he actually played very well up there, so I think they were hoping to see more of the same.
McKinley earned top 2 line ice time last night from the way he played against Saint John. He was one of the only forawards that played half decent that night.
Paynter needs to get more ice time. He never takes a night off and hes a sparkplug for the team.
Chris Doyle must still be feeling the effects of the flu. He was definitely not himself.
