One good thing to come out of that mess last night was a solid effort by Paynter and Locke. They actually got some ice time and both played very well. Hopefully this was noted and they get a regular shift when the top two lines over come the flu/cold or whatever is ailing them.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one with Yannick Jean behind the bench.

You are probably right wingman, but it is so unfortunate for these players. They want to play hockey and develop because this is their chance to get noticed and maybe move forward in their hockey careers. Locke is a very good hockey player but hasn't been given the chance to develop with the Rocket. He had a great career in midget and was probably hoping that he would improve even more in a higher league. Well, in order to improve you have to play the game regularly. I hope at some point Coach Jean realizes this and gives the boys a chance.

Lachaine didn't make this trip, seen him today at the CARI Centre.
