I think this deserves its own thread. Now, that we mostly know the roster of the team, how will the structure look?
Forwards:
I think almost everyone has the same idea for the first two lines with Legare/ Farrell/ Pelletier and Svechnikov/ Bishop/ Laverev. It seems likely that Simard centers the third line but who will skate with him? Colby Tower and Dubois converting to LW for now is my guess. It would leave maybe a Martineau or L'Itlien/ Boucher/ Brunelle fourth line.
Defense:
I expect some movement here for a while during the year. Maybe this:
Leveille - Deschamps MacIntyre - Lalonde Bell - Nosella Beaudin
I suspect Bell will get lots off PP time!

Like the defensive pairings as put together by Davey Boy, looks real good to me.IMO Paul and Baillergon will be released.Excellnt trade, Gauthier was not going to crack the top 6 forwards and it opens up some room at the bottom for some of the younger guys.

My thoughts were: 1/2-Lazarev-Bishop-Svechnikov 1/2-Legare-Farrell-Pelletier 3-Dubois-Simard-Tower 4-Brunelle-Boucher-Martineau/L'Italien
1-Leveille-MacIntyre 2-Bell-Deschamps 3-Lalonde-Nosella/Beaudin
1-Brassard 2-Doesn't Matter

Imagine that Gauthier was taken right after MacKinnon and Drouin .......hope that Scout is doing something different for a living .

Imagine that Gauthier was taken right after MacKinnon and Drouin .......hope that Scout is doing something different for a living . Drouin and MacKinnon have nothing to do with it though. You have to look at the players taken after Gauthier to evaluate the pick properly. So basically its guys taken afterward like Murphy, Dunn, Dauphin, Gregoire, Graves, etc etc that you compare Gauthier to.

Morin , Graves , Fucale , Dunn , Murphy .......not too shabby . Most Scouts miss more than they hit . Just a comment in regards to how severe the drop off was an A Plus-Plus , then an A ....then a C minus - D plus .

Just a comment in regards to how severe the drop off was an A Plus-Plus , then an A ....then a C minus - D plus . A drop off for sure! Though, Gauthier certainly has talent and had good prouction before coming to CB. He never really found a groove or a true role. In Quebec, he may be a much better player than what we saw here.
