Tay Creek is making a push for the final playoff spot, pushing to within 6 points of the 12th spot. Almost no chance to catch #11, but when the second season starts, Tay Creek is hoping to have a seat at the table!! You can have my seat at the table. I'd much rather rest and get ready for next season.

Week 25 - Team of the week: Lameque (35.6 points)
Souris' streak of six straight weeks as TOTW comes to an end as Lameque finishes 1.8 points ahead of the Tunamen on the week, closing the gap on first by a (very) tiny margin. Fans in Souris remember the playoff collapse of two seasons ago, and will be watching the rearview closely over the next 3 weeks.
Tay Creek gains two more points on Port-aux-Basques for the final playoff spot to sit just four back. Sitting in 11th is Englishtown, who are searching for the franchise's first ever playoff berth. Also joining the post-season party for the first time will be Plaster Rock, as the Storm missed the show in 2013 and 2014.

Week 26 - Team of the Week: North Sydney (36.0 points)
Cape Bretoners are pumped as the island's three franchises have exciting weeks. The Mariners not only put up the week's best score, but the pull VERY close to Dalhousie for the third overall spot. Meanwhile in Richmond County, Nik Ehlers and the Arichat Privateers climb one spot in the standings. The Giants look forward to the playoffs as import defenseman Jakub Zboril returns to the lineup after a stay on the IR.
Only two weeks left. For those teams with an eye on the playoffs, start thinking about your playoff rosters - only five of your players count for playoff scoring!

Week 27 - Teams of the week: Allardville and Souris (30.4 points)
Another strong week for Souris all but cements their lock on the league title, while defending champ Allardville matches the weekly total of the Tunamen. Port-aux-basques surrenders the twelfth and final playoff spot to the surging Regals, making the remaining 20 games of particular interest of those two clubs.
The regular season ends on Saturday night. Final Standings will be released on Monday, and teams will have until Wednesday at 11:59:59 PM to submit playoff rosters. Any of you who already have your five guys selected can submit a roster at any time, with changes allowed right up until the Wednesday deadline.

I was looking to prepare my playoff roster but noticed that my roster is not up to date. The players acquired in the trade with Allardville are nowhere to be found. I know Duclair has been mostly invisible on the ice also.

Darn I was hoping you had forgotten that trade and I would miraculously score 152.1 pts in the last week to take over the lead.

| After a slightly longer than anticipated Regular Season due to the make up game between the Mooseheads and the Wildcats yesterday afternoon, the Souris Tunamen have taken the 2014-15 QMJHL East Keeper Pool Championship. Souris has been building for two seasons with an eye on this year as their chance to compete.
"We made some deals that were huge gambles, and did the same at the draft." said Souris GM Beaver Banker. "Many looked at our choice of Jeremy Gregoire in the first round of the inaugural draft as a big mistake, but we saw Jeremy as a long term player, and he was a very important part of our win this year".
Souris finishes 31 points ahead of second place Lameque, who built a very strong contender who just couldn't seem to put it all together in the final six weeks of the season. The Cod Eaters are still considered a contender for this year's playoff crown.
The Tunamen join the Dorchester Convicts (now in Salisbury) and the Allardville Miners as past champs. Despite a roster that looks nothing like the championship team of a year ago, the Miners finished a respectable 10th, and will look to make noise in the playoffs.
Tay Creek managed to hold on to the final playoff spot - though Fortier and Gadoury each scored yesterday for Port-aux-Basques in a valiant but ultimately fruitless effort to grab that final spot from the Regals. Port-aux-Basques now finds themselves in the draft lottery, to take place later this month.
Playoff Rosters for teams finishing 1-12 are due to the league by Wednesday night at 11:59:59 PM AT. No late entries will be accepted. |

When reviewing final scoring, I found an error in calculations that understated Tay Creek's score. Tay Creek actually finishes 11th, just ahead of Englishtown.
