Will these guys be called back now that the coach has changed!! Unless the Rocket move either Gelinas or Lafleur, I can't see them bringing up Mosher this year. The kid needs to play regularly to develop and I can't see him playing regularly with the Rocket as long as both Lafleur and Gelinas are here

Mosher down in the MJAHL is a good thing.... 17 yr old tender, playing a ton! The season after they drafted him, I wish the Rocket could/would have had him in the MJAHL instead of sending him back to his midget team in St. John's. He had a very stacked team playing in front of him in St. John's where he faced very little shots because his team was out shooting opponents by a 30-12 margin (just using those numbers as an example). Sometimes it's good to play on a very good team but at times it doesn't help development-wise and I think it hurt Mosher more than it helped.

Yes I believe he did, I forgot about that. That wouldn't have helped him either, as they would both be number one goalies on most, if not all, midget teams.

Seen Street with the Abbies and although he looked decent on the ice I could see that he does need to work a little more on the finish. Another year of Midget AAA probably won't hurt him...he's still 16 and he can go back there and build up some confidence and get the playing time.

Yes he did spilt the games with downer...it was a 50/50 spilt unless one or the other was hurt during the season!

The Sherwood Hockey Defensive Player of the Week is Goaltender Evan Mosher of the Miramichi Timberwolves. The St John’s native currently has a 146:25 shutout streak going, the only player to beat him this week was Remi Gautreau of the Moncton Beavers who scored at the 13:35 mark of the second period as the T-Wolves dumped the Beavers 6-1 on Wednesday night. He followed that up with shutout victories over the league leading Woodstock Slammers Saturday night and the Moncton Beavers on Sunday afternoon. He stopped 55 of 56 shots during those 3 games and has a 0.33 GAA and a .982 save% for the week. He currently leads all goaltenders in the league with a fine 1.84 GAA.

Chris Owens is also with Miramichi, as is: Keith Bombaugh Daniel Basque Charlottetown are led by Itan Chavira, league point leader (31pts in 18gms). Other Abbie players to watch are: Willie Harvey Neil Sherren Will Johnston Ryan Gale Alex Dupuis-G Nathan Snowie--hurt? Should be a good game, and I look forward to seeing Mosher in goal.

Score...just to point out it is an Abbies home game, but if you go to MacLauchlan Arena you'll see a dark rink. Game is part of the 7 that the Abbies are playing in Georgetown this season. Was down there for the Antigonish game.....7 scraps....fans love Will "The Thrill" Johnston down there. About 500 were there, after the rough game with an Abbies 7-1 win I expect a bigger crowd out for Friday night. Sadly going to miss it. Catching Sat night when they are back at The Mac to face the Caps now coached by Scott Bridges.
- Nathan Snowie is playing with the UPEI men's soccer team, so that's why he's been sporadically playing with the Abbies. They should be wrapped in the next week or two and Snowie will be on th esquad full-time then. Another player tp watch is Jamie MacInnis, who is not too far behind Harvey and Chivara. Randy MacIntyre is another dandy as well.
Abbies are playing well, winning games and not taking any crap from no one. Leading the league in PIMS and after HFX went after Chivara the other night McGuigan sent out his five tough guys to kick ass. A few will be sitting out Fri and some for both nights. They played well against the Slammers, who are decimating the league this year. Cousin of mine is equipment manager for the team.
