Since we have two PEI Rocket players who will be primarily playing MJAHL this season I thought it would be nice to create a thread dedicated to following their progress.
Evan Mosher Games Played - 14 Record - 7 wins 6 Losses GAA - 2.00 Sav Per - 0.923 Shots per game - 23
Note: Mosher is currently the MJAHL Player of the Week

Street is probably going to be on the line with Itan Chivara and Jamie MacInnis....nice line to say the least. Chivara has some sick moves out on the ice. Battling Billy has the team sitting third, but getting a quality kid like Street should help them garner even more wins.
Not outdone the Caps have made some moves too....at 1-5 they have to do something. Getting Knox back should goose the offence.

Is Knox going back to Summerside?
I think I may actually go watch a few Abbie games this year.. I wanna see this roller hockey kid.. who woulda thought the best Abbies marketing would be done by the Rocket playing such boring and uninspired hockey?

As seen in today's column by Don Morrison
"Jordan Knox, last year’s captain, returns to the lineup after a stint with Saint John in the Q while Jason Smallman and Chad Loewen arrive via trades with Antigonish."
and how about this addition to the Abbies... "The Abbies also added additional size and toughness by getting Geoff Oliver in a trade with Yarmouth. The six-foot-four defenceman, who has Q experience in ‘05-06, arrives along with a seventh-round draft pick for a third-round choice."
You know he's gonna chuck a few playing for Billy. ;D

Noticed that Street was not in the Abbies line up yesterday. Is he still at home or back in PEI?

All I wanted to see was Chivara. He is def one of the better players but tends to be lazy. But all in all, he's a great player to watch.

Street may have to be sent back to AAA....Hockey Canada has basically not allowed 16 year olds to play out of province in the MJAHL...Drew McLauglin of Saint John was foreced to go back to AAA after he made Amherst and Langan same thing after he made Pictou.
Escott, who is from NL is allowed to play for Amherst as NFLD doesnt have a JR A team...but i heard that even though Street would be in the situation, hockey canada may force him to go back to AAA as Escott was playing in Ontario last year...

Street was a second round pick. What was the rationale for not playing him with the Rocket?

It's a rediculous rule to have in the Maritimes, where the Jr A league covers 3 provinces and has a draft. Basically, a 16 year old kid from Yarmouth would be allowed to move away from home to play in Antigonish, but a 16 year old kid from Moncton isn't allowed to live at home and play for Amherst. I understand the reasoning for the rule in the rest of Canada where each province has their own Jr A league, but it doesn't make any sense to have it here.

Glad to hear that Mosher is playing well.
The whole reason they sent him their was to give him some solid ice time as a 17yr old. Sending him to the MJAHL to get a ton of starts was a very smart move, even if it was not a popular one.
Mosher is still the future netminder for this team, and it's good that he's playing so well in that league as a 17yr old.
