"showing irritation at one instance of use of French" Yeah that's racist all right. It is. You just don't understand - at all! That's why you like Don Cherry and think his "Frenchy" remarks are harmless. Dense. Done with this place. Man you are stupid.. I was making a remark as if they didn't understand it as a joke. Cause they don't listen to the fans. people say that to people all the time not just about the french although some of its true .

Let me rephrase the answer I gave. I spend my days working in both official languages, and there are people I work with that do not speak French. Their solution when they do not understand the other language, is to ask someone who does. I have never worked anywhere that it was not in a bilingual position, and I take it for granted that there is always someone around to translate. (The most plentiful supply of those people in Charlottetown, are the school children, and they love to tell you about their French) As for taking the time to translate to English that is also possible, but it does take time if you want to get it right. I am not talking about one of those programs that make no sense but in a verbatim transcript. A demain. (English keyboard no accents) If it takes time to do it right, then take the time. It would probably only take a 1/2 hour or an hour tops, not much to make things easier for people to enjoy your product. I'm sure the parents of the players that are in Quebec that have a limited grasp of the English language would like to read up on the game articles. You can use an English keyboard for accents, I found a website this morning that explains how to do it.

Locking this thread now as it has drifted away from topic and is headed down hill. A few good points were made in this thread, but not enough to keep it open. Any questions, PM myself.
