Rimouski is in town to take on the Rocket.
Rocket are coming off a 4-3 Shootout win over the Foggies and the Oceanic are coming off a 2-1 win over the Remparts on Sunday.
Should be a good game, both teams are last in their divisons.
If Rocket play the way they did in last night's second period they will def put another win on the board.
5-2 Rocket.

The following was posted by MikeC on the Q Discussion Board.
Here's their injury list according to NHL Central Scouting:
Name # Birth date Injuries or sicknesses Expected date Frolik, Michael 67 17/02/1988 Shoulder two weeks Desrochers, Frédéric 55 18/01/1989 Right ankle fracture sixteen weeks Cormier, Patrice 90 14/06/1990 Concussion day to day Gratchev, Maxime 93 26/09/1988 Left foot fracture six weeks Cornet, Philippe 15 28/03/1990 Toe fracture three weeks Tanguay, Maxime 17 16/11/1988 Rib fracture six weeks Caron, Jordan 27 02/11/1990 Sternum fracture three weeks
Understandably Rimouski only has 2 wins in their last 10 games and the only one who might be back by Friday is Frolik.
No excuse for the Rocket not to win tomorrow.

No excuse for the Rocket not to win tomorrow. I agree 100%. I was going to post that same point but you beat me to it. ;D But the Rocket still have to play all 3 periods and not play like it is an easy 2 points either. Rimouski may be a battered team right now, but with Jodoin behind the bench you can bet that team will still be ready to play.

Friday will be my first time back at the CCC in a while, due to the road games and some family issues back in the Motherland. Hoping for some good hockey, and also looking forward to FINALLY getting the old blog back up. (i'm sure both readers will be thrilled.)

Rocket back on track Improved power play a key factor for the P.E.I. squad The Guardian
Peaks and valleys.
Every team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League goes through them and the P.E.I. Rocket (5-7-1) and the Rimouski Océanic (5-8-0-1) are no different.
The squads meet today at 7 p.m. at the Civic Centre in Rimouski’s lone Island visit this season.
After nearly 15 games, both seem on opposite rails.
Rimouski started the season 3-1 but has dropped eight of its last 10 games.
P.E.I.’s picked up five points in its last four games, including a 4-3 overtime shootout win over St. John’s Wednesday, spurred on somewhat by its improved power play.
Once cellar-dwelling at under seven per cent, the Rocket have upped that number to almost 14 per cent (11-for-79, 12th overall). Last year P.E.I. finished with a 20.4 per cent mark, good for ninth overall.
P.E.I. right winger Geoff Walker credits head coach Yanick Jean’s drills and relentless harping in practice for the power play’s better showing.
“He’s really driving it to us there on the power play the last little while,” said Walker. “He’s got a good system there. It’s just a matter of us focusing and doing what he tells us to do. And when we do it we’re successful.”
Walker has netted a pair of extra-man goals this season and is tied for seventh on the Q scoring list with 17 points.
Since 2003, it’s been a high-scoring series, each team racking up about four goals per game. Last year. the Rocket shutout the Océanic 5-0 on a 30-save night by goalie Antoine Lafleur.
And talk about hills and hollows, Rimouski’s either in the Memorial Cup or at the bottom of the league.
Three seasons ago the Océanic rode Sidney Crosby’s scoring and Cédrick Desjardins’ hot goaltending to a Memorial Cup final.
The next year, Crosby went pro and much of that crew was shipped off. Since then, including this season, Rimouski has been 37-118.
“They’ll be a fast team, they’ll be well-rounded. We’re gonna have to have our A game if we’re going to compete,” said Walker. “We’ve got to bring our A game every night from here on in because we’ve dug ourselves a big hole. Slowly we’re getting out of it.

Rimouski 6 Rocket 3 the Goaltending is just not good enough this year to beat the good teams And Riki is a good team? Even without the injuries, the Rocket are a better team this year then they are...........with there current injuries that are posted in this thread, the Rocket really can't lose tomorrow. If they do, something is REALLY wrong.

Rocket better win tonight
I'd be happy if they did so in dominating fashion
I'm not sure what system Geoff is talking about.. maybe we'll see it on the ice tonight?

I am going to say a 5 - 2 win for the Rocket given how many players the Oceanic have out but I'm not holding my breath. I see the D much the same as the other night with the addition of maybe Malouin replacing Clow. I do hope the change the PP and put either Southorn or Gervais with Lassard and then the second unit would be Southorn or Gervais with Parker. Oh, one other thing with the PP that I have noticed, the D do not leave the ice for the full 2 minutes most of the time, I really hope this is addressed, whether it is the PP or even strength, 1 minute is enough, if you have plenty left after one minute you are not working hard enough. That's it, Rocket win tonight and lose Sunday.

Translation: We have not been working or paying attention to what we are doing on the ice but we intend to start tonight. Hopefully we just wont see good intentions but rather a team that actually delivers an "A" game.

Put the local guy in the paper to support the coach. nice try savard. I promise not to boo the coach now. enough sound bits don't talk about this "A" game try playing it.
