Great to get the win. Gelinas with 50+ stops! We need to have the goalie steal a few for us. He kept the team in it until they were able put a few up and get out in front.
Looking forward to Wednesday.

Tech the Capers 2nd goal should have never of counted due to the fact they had a player on the ice the play should have been stopped right away as soon as the eagles touched the puck. But very good game by the rocket although they got pounded on the shot clock. But they still got 5 goals past the eagles goalies should be a interesting game come wed as the eagles will be looking hard for the win. Good to see some fire power going into the net. Way to go gells he better get the start come wed.

what a stupid coaching move, somthing jean would prob do! How is that stupid? You're down 5-2, what do you have to lose? I'd rather a coach that rolls the dice on the least little chance the team has left to win than one who just sits back with five minutes in a 5-2 game and says "Oh well, we lost."

Very surprising win by the Rocket. I'm a little concerned about the shots on goal..... If Gelinas hadn't shown up to play it might have been a different outcome. Cape Breton is #2 in the country and obviously ran into a hot goalie today. The Rocket can't rely on their goalie to win games for them. The idea of having a consistent goalie and a team that shows up to play every game.... that is a winning combination.

your just a little concerned about shots on net? thank god gelinas showed up to play today....way too many shots on net for a goalie to face....and nice to see him step up to the plate...... also, have to say, even tho shots on net were terrible against our team, way to go boys....beating one of the top teams in the league should give yas a boost in confidence....but the D has to not let so many shots on net. also very nice to see some of our 2nd, 3rd liners being productive...see jean....it actually does work u dumbass!!!!!!!! looking forward to going to see the game on wed night.....maybe even a decent crowd?

I agree the shot count is something to be concerned about, but I did say I'd take every win regardless of play...so .....WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Seriously though glad to see Gelinas hold the castle gates, nice bit o' offence against a very hot team right now and how about the play of one Lucas McKinely as of late? Has this kid impressed or what....very solid outting each night from this guy....that is one of the pleasures of cheering for a major junior team....seeing a player break out and playing great.
See you on Wed boys.....Hazzaa!!
P.S. Looking at the shot total the league had 15 of those 56 listed as dangerous shots, so it does sound like they threw the puck on the net, but not a lot of quality behind them. Maybe the folks from CB can elaborate on the tally.

Nice win for you guys, as we were sizzling hot.
A piece of trivia for all o y'all......... that's the first time since September 2004 that the Rocket won in regulation at C200. A span of over three years.
On that Tuesday night, Maxim Lapierre had four points to pace the Rocket to a 5-2 win over the Eagles. Neil Smith tuned Anthony Pototschnick, and then did his smoking guns routine. Then Jimmy Bonneau destroyed Smith when he got out of the penalty box.
I think all of those names put into perspective how long it's been! Although you guys did have one shootout win at C200 in the meantime. Twas in March 2006, and current Eagle Joey Haddad scored the shootout winner.
Rematch Wednesday night at the CCC, and I suspect it'll be tough to beat you guys in your rink after the result in ours.
