deer...as far as Wednesday goes....well, let's just say many might not be convinced yet that the team is turning things around. I could be wrong. We'll have to wait for the Rocket vs. Eagles Pt. II post which I suspect will begin at some point today to see the overall mood. Mind you earn a win in a home and home (which technically I suppose this is) would be nice and I will guess as locals are reading about this win right now as the paper hits the streets that we SHOULD have a very good crowd Wednesday night....1st sellout of the year maybe?

1st sellout of the year maybe? HA! Don't get your hopes up Reg. I love the positive attitude though.

Figuring Gelinas will man the net again on Wednesday night, actually looking forward to this game and i think that we will see a rocket victory. Doubt we'll see a sellout Reg but I do think a decent crowd will be around. we are now 7-7-1....slowly climbing out of the basement of the division and on a three game winning streak!!!! now this is more of what most of us expected this season I do think. keep it up boys....momentum just might be switching to our side for once!

I'm going to try and not be negative here but folks what the hell is this "great game Rocket, that's how you win on the road" bullshit? i didnt actually see the game so maybe the shot count is completely not indicative of the play but I somehow doubt it coming out and getting destroyed 17-2 in the first period is a great way to play? ? very fortunate for the win and we'll gladly take it but please keep things in perspective people i'll be impressed if we can come out and actually control the play wednesday.... we certainly won't win many if we get outshot that badly again and yes gelinas will obviously start

Seriously - the posts on here went from "Outshot 17-2 after one period, wtf are they doing out there come on Rocket!" to "Great job way to know how to win on the road!" in record time even though the team was still getting outshot 56-22.

Indeed. Anytime a team gives up 56 shots in a 60 minute game that usually means that you left your goalie out to dry, it was just fortunate that Gelinas had one of those games. If he had played an ordinary game people wouldn't be saying great job by the team, it's not often that a team gives up 56 shots and still walk out of the rink with a win. I'll take the win, but it wasn't a game that you would use as an example of how to win a game.

Nice win for you guys, as we were sizzling hot. A piece of trivia for all o y'all......... that's the first time since September 2004 that the Rocket won in regulation at C200. A span of over three years. On that Tuesday night, Maxim Lapierre had four points to pace the Rocket to a 5-2 win over the Eagles. Neil Smith tuned Anthony Pototschnick, and then did his smoking guns routine. Then Jimmy Bonneau destroyed Smith when he got out of the penalty box. I think all of those names put into perspective how long it's been! Although you guys did have one shootout win at C200 in the meantime. Twas in March 2006, and current Eagle Joey Haddad scored the shootout winner. Rematch Wednesday night at the CCC, and I suspect it'll be tough to beat you guys in your rink after the result in ours. Doesn't trivia include a question?
