OK this is a real piss off lately like the lights have been broke for how long and they are still not fixed like come on they are taking everything out of the game. What a wast of f*ing money U got the replay screens sitting up there collecting dust u got the lights put in that don't work anymore like what the hell is going on with this Cheap CHEAP ORG like ffs this is just getting outrageous. They ask why can they do to get fans into the game Well start spending money Using the shit you bought and not letting it go to wast. Like they are soooo stupid wake the hell up stop asking stupid questions when the Answers are right in front of your eyes. Stop being so Cheap stop letting things go to wast. fix up around the rink Little things like that will go a long way. Don't just get the fans use to the new stuff and take it away or don't fix them keep in going. Like really wake the F up And fix the dam score board to sick of sitting there looking at the same lights burnt out since like season 3 come on Get your Asses in gear.

I actually like how they don't dim the lights when the Rocket score, I like how the have it now. But I do miss the lights being dimmed when they come out on the ice, it really got me pumped and into the game.

the issue with the lights has absolutely zero to do with the Rocket, it is being handled by the CCC as the money to install them was put forth by the CCC so it is their responsibility. Only reason it is taking so long is because everytime parts arrived from the manufacturing company of the shutters the piece wouldn't work in the existing system.
As stated in another thread not too long ago, the lights have to be reprogrammed via direct connection to a computer in Indiana where the shutters were manufactured and it just isn't a cut and dry quick fix. If it was known from the get go that this was the solution they probably would have been operational by now, but like always, with this type of technology you sometimes have to go through trial and error before you figure out the appropriate solution.
As far as the PBR event goes, if you had looked at the lights, they weren't all turned on. We just tripped the breakers for about 6 lights and left them off. We aren't able to do that for Rocket games because it takes the lights too long to power back up as we all realized when the breakers inadvertantly popped earlier in the season due to the shutter malfunction. So that isn't an option.
There are many different forces at work around the rink and within the operation. Some are dealt with by Rocket brass, some are dealt with by the CCC and this is one such case. I can assure anyone who feels this is something that could have been resolved quicker, maybe it could have, but with the route that was taken trying all the easier solutions first (which is what most people do when proceeding with troubleshooting) and having the issue dealt with almost on a daily basis, we are right where we should be based on the findings. Needless to say it'll be ironed out soon enough.
I do realize that its frustrating for a lot of people to have these things then have them taken away but lets just remember that at least we're just losing a replay screen or the ability to make the rink dark as opposed to losing the entire team which would become fairly ironic fairly quick to everyone that complained about petty pregame and off ice stuff over the years. Sometimes a little more understanding about the situation or research before a rant would be a better choice.

Thedarcy I agree with your points about there being 2 different groups being a factor and I also understand that it is not up to you to be around the rink to fix the problem you are the DJ for game nights only but someone should take the bull by the horns and start geeting things done.
As for the frustrating part, yes it would be terrible if the Rocket left but we should complain about things, the Rocket put the replay screens in and took them away I understand they did this for $$$$ but they go and put things in the paper on how to bring fans in start by adding to the game instead of hoping that your on ice producct will do it all. I have been in many different rinks some bigger some smaller than the CCC but most know what the fans want and that it to enjoy themselves. I myself do not mind going and just watching the game but it seems to get the averge fan into a game you must make it fun and that is not by just playing a game of hockey and playing loud music (no offence Darcy) The Rocket org need to look at who is doing what for them and try and figure a way to give something back to the fans. On another note
"What a wast of f*ing money U got the replay screens sitting up there collecting dust u got the lights put in that don't work anymore like what the hell is going on with this Cheap"
The Rocket did not buy the screens Video Pros I belive still own them as if the Rocket owned them I am sure that they wopuld not have let them be used during PBR as this makes them look bad. I do not know why the CCC do not purchase the screens and have it that they could offer them to other events that happen there I am sure they should be able to get some kind of deal on them as they are already there. Than they should try to use the screens to create a fun atmosphere and I am sure if the CCC wants to they could get sponsors for the screens

I asked this question before about the screens and got no answer? 1. What is the cost of running the screens per game. 2. And could the cost be taken out of the 50/50 monies
just what do they do with the 50/50 ( Maybe it's nobody's business - so-be it )

Who cares? In my opinion, as long as I get to see a good, hard fought hockey game my 12 bucks is worth it. Hockey is becoming too commercial and a spectacle rather than a sport. Just last week I was at a Senators game and everything is being sponsored. Even the last minute of the third period announcement is now the "Staple Business Depot minute of play in the third period. The next day I went to Gatineau and there was no light show, dimming of the lights, screens, or padded seats with cupholders, but I enjoyed the game more becuase thats what it was...hockey and nothing but. Also, you could hear the fans as they weren't drowned out by blaring goal music and sideshows.

Now that the coach has been fired, some people are just looking for something new (old) to bitch about.
