I know where he has been Coaching ... and even though you add the tag "semi-pro" that doesn't make it a high level of hockey. Its a goon league ... closer to UFC than hockey ... an old style of play where enforcers were the norm ... same as when he coached the Remps but worse. Its a sideshow league that plays on the idea that the fans will come out for the fights ... which is correct . I would equate it to coaching roller hockey. I'm not saying Chouinard is a bad coach ... he is easily better than Jean ... I just don't think you should all be getting too excited about this guy as being some sort of saviour. No one has made Chouinard out to be a saviour we are just happy that a coaching change has finally been made and that we are adding an established coach. No one is expecting Chouinard to be coach of the year simply an improvement of what we have seen the last 2 and a bit seasons. But thanks for adding your usual negatism to the conversation.  |

I'm actually hoping for a significant improvement in what we've seen, but that won't take much; better use of his bench, work hard both ways and promote a "Team First" attitude. Those wont happen over night. But we have a pretty good roster for him to start with. As for his recent time in a so called "Goon League" maybe he'll understand that it pays to finish your checks and he'll see the value in giving a tough physical line regular ice time. |

This is my first post of the season, and all I have to say is "YABA DABA DOOOOOOOOOOO. The team will improve, mark my words. Jean may be good at coaching nowhere. See ya. Can't wait for the rest of the season. "BRING IT ON!"
