my lord what is wrong with the CCC. we are a joke. how many times are we going to continue to listen to the national anthem and have the mic cut in and out and in and out. tonight coney and i couldnt believe. please someone , take some action and fix the bloody thing!!! its not difficult.....as nike says...just do it!

I totally agree Wallee....you could hear everyone cringe....that poor singer. Not the first time it cut out.
Maybe we could find a recording of the late, great Roger Doucet, who used to send shivers up the spine with his version of O'Canada.

The biggest problem is they are using a low cost wireless and in a steal building like the ccc they need to put in more relays so when the person with the mic moves or looks a different direction it will still pick up also they need to change the batteries in wireless mic every night as soon as they go down a little they will start to cut out like they did last night.

Wallee....So far I found a version with Rush playing it....nice.
Seen that there IS a MP3 version of Roger Doucet out there. I'll have to Limewire it tonight at home.
Think about it. Roger's was the English-French version, so we clear that hurdle and it can be played over the sound system instead of having to worry about getting a singer in each night......as Wile E. Coyote woudl say...."genius....pure genuis."

Just fired off an e-mail to Captain Stu at the rink,it really needs to be addressed.Not fair to the singer and an embarrassment to the team and fans.Its been working poorly for weeks

guys i seriously don't know what to tell you on this issue...we've moved the receiver, change the batteries in the mic prior to every game and i seriously, no joke...say test 1....2 for like 5 minutes in different areas on and off the ice prior to each game and it works perfect....the mic itself isn't a bad one either, AKG, not top of the line but damn close. What boggles my mind is the fact that once upon a time the receiver for the mic was in the old production room which is now the current 50/50 room...a 10X10 concrete tomb where the mic had no direct sight to the receiver and it seemed to work ok...there were certain dead zones, but we never had an issue with it.
Trust me, i try my best to tweak and fuss with the mic prior to every game to avoid such a scenario because it makes me cringe, shake my head and want to jump in a hole a die when it cuts out like that...hey wouldn't be the rink if everything went smooth for just one night now would it?

It seems to be when the singer ramps the song up and sings louder that it cuts out. At least that's what it seemed to me. Maybe if you try singing before every game instead of saying Test 1...2 then you might get a better idea Darcy. I'm sure we could get a lot of people to show up and listen. |

ha...trust me no one wants that...we're in the market of trying to lure people in, not drive em away...but you are right, maybe hire an on-staff pregame singer to test the mic...
