3-2 OT win.
Garland had yet another amazing game. 2 goals and 1 helper.

Bent never disappoints with his dirty and cowardly plays.
It's comical cause I brought someone from work to the game and told him about Bent today at work and that he'd probably ask a star player to fight (Barbashev) then turn down anyone who challenged him (Cormier). Played out exactly how I said LOL man the guy's a disgrace.

That wasn't pretty by any means, but I'll take the win.
I expected this to be a tough game. Not to make any excuses, but pretty brutal schedule having to play Thursday, Friday and Sunday in Quebec and then coming home for a Tuesday game. They definitely looked tired at times tonight. Still found a way to get the job done so that's a huge positive.

I completely agree, they(Cats) looked shit dragged first period and after 2 goals I thought it was gonna be one of those games. Not pretty for sure but got the 2 points and that's what counts.

Have to rise above the garbage, especially during the stretch drive and playoffs.

Quote from Herald about Barb/Garland...
“They’re elite players,” said Mooseheads assistant coach Jim Midgley. “They take long shifts and you’ve almost got to play two lines against them. They’ve been doing it that way for a while so you have to be ready for that. They’re good players and they played well tonight.”
You guys worry about them wearing down for a good playoff run?

I trust Rumbles ability to judge that. At the start of the year and in all his early interviews Rumble made it clear even if his team was not the best on paper he would be sure they would be one of the best if not the best conditioned team in the league. Garland rarely tires out there, and there has been blowout games where he'll start skipping their shifts. Last night you could hear the typical groans in the crowd when Garland would take a long shift and then all the sudden he'd deke past 2-3 mooseheads and create a scoring chance. I think on the road its done even more intentionally, if you keep them out there for a shift and a half or a double shift you can get a mismatch and possibily score a goal that could win you the game, its the type of in game management that always drove me nuts that Flynn didn't use.

Earlier in the season, Barbashev took a few undisciplined penalties when an opponent goaded him. I'm glad to see that has changed, and I'm fine with Cormier stepping in - much rather see Cormier in the box for standing up for B than have B in the box for 2 minutes.

I don't know how much energy he brings to Halifax... to watch him run his mouth like there's no tomorrow , then won't go near anyone that fights , it would be a momentum killer for his team. You can be an effective agitator and do it with pride. He's just classless and a coward. He's well known for it around the league and I'd be embarrassed to have him part of my organization.
By the way .... how'd all that smack work out ?

By the way .... how'd all that smack work out ? Early on this season he was trying too hard to agitate and was taking dumb penalties. In the second half he has been fairly effective at getting teams/players off their game, drawing lot of penalties out of frustration. Nobody had the time of day for him/his style early on, but he has figured out how to be effective lately. Of course, he's always a player other fans will hate.

By the way .... how'd all that smack work out ? That's not really true though is it? bent is 4th in the league in fights and the vast majority of those against guys that fight. But looks like he is effective in the role he plays to have got you bent so out of shape. He draws a lot of penalties so for the role he plays all that smack works well. And for saying he doesn't go near anyone that fights he has a fight card mostly of fighters. He's not very good at it but he'll go with legit fighters.

The night Halifax beat Rimouski down here Bent was so far under Dunn's skin that Dunn wanted to fight Bent when Rimouski was on a power play. Bent was straight up laughing in Dunn's face.

Another example of the tremendous class. Might have worked in that case but I've witnessed him take a lot of dumb/pointless penalties that have cost the Moose. You can add together the pros/cons that he brings but either way (my opinion) , I wouldn't want him sporting my team's jersey.
