Why does Gervais give the puck away so much?

I'd imagine part of it is that he's still recovering from the surgery on his hand/wrist. It's gotta be an adjustment to play with the wrap or whatever he has on it. I noticed that he's wearing last year's gloves instead of the new ones that everyone else has.

Because hes playing more minutes than he should because the rest of your defense is young and inexperienced so he has to play in a spot where he shouldnt be.

Gervais is a 3rd/4th dman being forced to play #2 minutes.

Agreed. The same could be said about some of the other Rocket dmen also as I think they are playing out of their element and are not being effective as much as they should be.

i really think Gervais wrist hurts him.. he cant play his aggressive, physical, in your face style he showed us last year

one thing tho to like.. he tries every shift and you know he hates making mistakes

Gervais is still not 100%. Once the strength returns in his wrist he will improve. So many people jumping the ship. It's only October folks!

He certainly didn't have his best game on Saturday night in Halifax and it cost us. Maybe if Gervais' wrist is still bothering him so much it might be time to sit some games and let it heal so he can out and be a top dman that we need right now.

Look at lessard he gives the puck away a lot more then gervais.
