awful quite here today and yesterday! no gdt for last nights' game? nobody bitching yet about potentially having no place to play our home games if the playoffs start on the weekend of the 27th due to the boat show? anyone notice on the chl site no mention of garland leading the country with his point accumulation? just wondering with this blizzard going on, someone would have a few opinions on these topics since there's not much else to do.

They could always start the series on the road maybe a 2-3-1-1. Sucs to lose the week-end home dates though

You guys don't have an alternate place to play? Halifax is moving to the Forum because of the curling championship for the first round.

Forum still has a decent capacity, fourplex and JLL are only 2000 at most. They did play at the JLL one year with no other choice but this is just one weekend so im sure they will want to avoid it.

Plus I believe playing in a venue that small as an alternative has since been outlawed by the league. Direct result of that playoff series at the Levesque in 2009.

I thought that after that series at the Levesque, the league made a rule that stipulated playoff games could not be played at non-Q venues, period ... Obviously not if the Moose are playing at the Forum this year. 4Plex and JLL are too small ... I recall the last time the conflict occurred there was some talk that Amherst Stadium might be a possibility ... though most fans wouldn't be too excited at the thought of having to go to Amherst ... I also recall Harbour Station being discussed as a potential neutral site, but Q approved, facility. End of the day, they almost always find a way to make it work at the Coliseum ...

Build a rink at the Moncton Stadium and have the 1st round games outdoors!

I know there is a trade show on Friday to Sunday and a set up day for Thursday. I have spoken with the show management and been advised that there will be no game thursday as was the case last year and made it a huge pain in the ass to have to be at the show at 5am ( takes from after game til about that time to prepare the ice surface and allow access to set up booths) and set up and then work all sweaty from noon til 9pm. The latest i can see a home game is Wednesday the 25th. Or not until Monday the 30rd.

Play in Bathurst we hold close to 4000 or Saint John if they are on the road The Sea Dogs will be starting on the road. The Mill Rats are done for the year also. Harbour Station wasn't even going to be available for the Sea Dogs if they were starting at home on the 28th because of The Price is Right show, but they should still be able to do either a Thursday/Friday or Friday/Sunday set of games. If I'm the Wildcats though, I'd rather host all of my own games, even if it means exchanging games 1 and 2 for games 3 and 4.
