Can definitely see Lalonde being traded, he would be a great fit with the Volts, as for Lazarev I heard if he is not drafted he is staying in Russia, so would you make a move for Meier?

Hoping lalonde is not traded, but sometimes you have to give up something to get something. As far as lazarev is concerned, maybe he will get drafted and return. if not, hope for another good Euro in the draft. If lalonde is not coming back, sounds like he is part of a package that may already be agreed upon with someone.

I think someone will definitely take a chance on Lazarev in the draft in the later rounds so if being drafted is the only stipulation for returning I'd say we have a very good chance.
Lalonde is someone I could definitely see moving on, doubt he wants to play bottom 6 minutes his whole time in Cape Breton but honestly other people are developing faster than him so what can you do?
Wouldn't mind moving Deschamps as well, think hes too slow to really compete against the best in the Q, but I think Dumont reallllly values leadership and he used to be a C on Sherbrooke so doubt hes going anywhere.

Svechnikov is gonna go in the 1st Round according to the experts , so there will be subtle pressure on Dumont to make sure he plays a lot and is happy ..............which would include having his best bud on his wing . First I heard about Lalonde .

Hard to take it with anything but a grain of salt until a real source confirms. The stories we hear this time of year from anonymous people reporting what's heard around town usually never pan out the way it's reported.
At this rate whether Lazarev is back or not it seems like Dumont is the type to be pushing his chips all in on next season so anyone can and will be replaced, but the cost to the team long term will probably hurt.
Just in this thread people want Belanger or Gosselin upgraded on. Both players we paid a high price for 5 months ago. We absolutely need to get better but this trading $1.00 for $0.75 in value is really killing the depth the franchise had entering training camp this season.

First I heard about Lalonde . Svechnikov is ranked among the 1st Round talents but whether he actually gets picked there is up in the air ... there is always the Russian Factor which causes players to drop. Still 1st Round talent wise no question about that ...

I could see Deschamps being traded to Victo in a deal for one of their top guys. In a press release a month a go the GM of the Tigres said they were looking to add a couple of older dmen with leadership.
It would be nice if we can work out something like: To CB: Gabriel Gagne
To VIC: Deschamps and 2nd 2016

You have the right idea but I feel other teams will realize how slow he is. Of course that is assuming that will cut down on his value. All you need is a little bit of speed and you can blow by him.

I would give Belanger till christmas and if he isnt playing well I would go after Montembault, Cadorette or Guindon.

Was on Twitter and noticed Colby Muise tweeted that he will be going to a prep school this year and not play for the Eagles. So it's a battle between Dugan and Jessiman for the backup.

Just to let you guys know John Moore was on News talk 95.7 here in Halifax earlier today and said that Bowers had told him he is going to play for CB next year. Some of you are probably asking how creditable is this statement. Well it is believed that Moore traveled to and from the draft with Bowers.

Some of you are probably asking how creditable is this statement. Well it is believed that Moore traveled to and from the draft with Bowers. If there was anything to Ryan Kennedy's tweet we would be hearing more about it from local reporters such as Palov and Moore who have been in touch with the kid and his family for the past few weeks. If this was 5 years ago I would be concerned but coming in to play with players like Svechnikov and Dubois in front of a heavily scouted teamis the best thing for all of our prospects at this point. Some of us have been saying all along that if you stick to the plan eventually you get some kids who break the trend of players not wanting to be here. The drafting and quick development of Dubois at the same time Svechnikov showed up has helped us turn that corner.
