I guess the Cats-Quebec series is to start Thursday so not much rest for the Cats, maybe they should consider playing 4 lines instead of triple shifting Barbashev-Garland...himm

The scrum was at the entrances to the benches and players were coming on and off the bench for a change. He didn't even get involved in anything other than jawing and pushing. If he gets suspended for that, it's ridiculous. This wasn't a case of 'leaving the bench to join an altercation'. He was coming on the ice for a change and there was some jawing going on between benches and nothing really happened. If he left the bench to take part in the jawing and pushing, a suspension is fully deserved. Altercation doesn't need to be a fight. That is what the refs called obviously. If it was the incident I remember, I don't think there was pushing and shoving. It was just chirping. On that scrum, Moynihan, Leblanc and Ehlers were obviously the forwards out there. If Bent was the guy on the ice chirping at the end of it, then he is probably guilty of leaving the bench. But its safe to assume the players from the scrum had headed back to their benches and its possible the new lines were stepping on, which is why Bent had hopped on the ice. But then again, I don't think coaches usually put out their new lines while the ref is at the window giving the penalties - although I'm sure its possible it happens all the time. Regardless, he certainly didn't leave the bench to join the scrum that had happened, if that even matters.

Especially as the game may get chippy too.

But the Q will probably let him play since it's the Q and their douchebaggery and they'll do anything to make the Moose win. (I'm sure I've seen lots of similar posts on here over the last 15 years).

You Moncton fans really feel threatened by the presence of Bent playing or not playing. lol. You should hope he plays, he is good for a couple of stupid penalties.

Has anyone ever tried to watch the Eastlink Rogers game on mute and play Johnny Moore in the background. Wondering if there is a delay. Not sure if I can handle Moncton announcers. I use to think they were funny now they just annoy me. Kinda like Jay Onraight and otoole or whatever those guys names are. Only difference those guys were trying to be funny.

Couldn't agree with you more about the Moncton announcers - good lord "Naw" instead of "Nauss" - did the SS fall off his jersey in Moncton or something? Unfortunately there is at least a 30/40 second delay in 95.7 and the webcast.

Not sure how you can prefer a monotone guy like Moore more but I can understand how you wouldn't like the bias of the Moncton announcer. There is maybe a slight delay if you are listening to John Moore via the radio stations website but as long as you have a PVR you can just pause the game and hit play to get it in sync. It might take you a few minutes but it could be worth it if it enhances your viewing experience. Best of luck.

Its not the name errors that bother me with the Rogers guys, its the screaming every name on every pass or shot that is ridiculous... " And here BAAAARBESHEV with a pass, that goes wide NOW SWEEENEY fires it in and around the boards out FROOOONT but GARLAND just missed the pass..." I understand the announcers getting excited on big plays and when the crowd is into it, but most of the time its routine plays and passes that he overemphasizes everyone's name.

Of all the announcers I prefer Tim Roszell although not the biggest fan of how he emphasises a name when they score.

Some of the best announcers I've heard are the Rimouski ones.

He plays a regular shift and plays with sand paper and high energy ... dipping into your spare players will be less annoying for our guys. He creates distraction when he is out there ... so it would be useful to eliminate that distraction.

I think it was a team misconduct and Bent was selected to serve it. I think several players chirped. When all was said and done and the ref was about to drop the puck again...the head official made one more trip to the scorers bench to clarify they got the penalties right. Then he made the ejection signal. Bent was still on the Halifax bench. He got up and walked out the glass door behind the bench to the dressing room. No theatrics...no cross ice skate out the end door under section 13... He just walked out. I really think he was elected to serve a penalty at random. It probably is not suspendable. There was some uncertainty as to who if anyone had to leave the ice.

You should change your name to "yesiwaswrongfirst" Only thing remotely near a bench misconduct is when the coach gets kicked out. If Bent was on the bench, it was because he knew he did something wrong and was trying to hide there. Also, in the game summary. It doesn't say Team/Bench like in the too many men penalties. It says Kelly Bent.
