We've often complained in the past about gaps in the schedule, but I feel the present gap, the one we're in the middle of, is ideal, given the new coach.
From Sunday 4 November through Friday 23 November, the Rocket will have played all of FOUR games - in almost three weeks.
Perfect.
After the three games in 4 nights upon being hired, then the Lewiston debacle, the team needed to regroup.
This gap allows Guy to take his time evaluating the team, spend more time with each player individually, and concentrate on practices, and on fixing what needs to be fixed.
We've seen some results already, and expect A LOT more improvement between now and the end of November.
Team came out very strong on Friday night, and the lines were set, two things we hadn't seen this year.
I'm off to Moncton next Saturday to catch the game against the Cats - hope The Cage is no longer in sauna mode, though!
Bringing summer clothing, just in case.

I said before that Chouinard should have a handle on this team by the time the VD game rolled around and now we're seeing the results. The big guns returned on Saturday and I expect more of the same this weekend with big divisional games with Moncton and Bathurst.
Team gets another break before Baie-Commeau and then we head into the drive before the Christmas break with 9 games including big tests against Cape Breton, Halifax and Saint John along with Shawinigan, another Moncton tilt and Chicoutimi.
Finish up with 3-game swing into Baie-Commeau, Chicoutimi and Quebec.
Two wins out of the 14 before the break and with 12 to go we'll see just how much change has occured. Certainly I liked the upgrade in performance by the Lachaine-McKinley-Gallant line and Lafleur earning both wins has to boost his confidence.
