First of all Hockeypro it's always the goaltending and never defence, A little breakdown on the goals allowed by the sucking LaFleur. 1st goal was a great shot up stairs all LaFleurs fault. 2nd goal was another great shot low blocker side a very tough one to save ask any goalie or you would probably know anyway. And the 3rd goal sure it was a big rebound but Deighan just stood there and didn't do a thing. But again all LaFleur's fault. Now it is time to focus on someone else to blame 1st Jean now LaFleur. Can you even spell hockey? Sounds like you have it all figured out......lighten up, it's a talk forum and we're merely expressing our opinions ;D

Not much to figure out. All you have to do is watch the game and know a little something!

Ummm Dont think its just Doyle, lols Kana and Latal are the only ones who seem to want to work for the puck while the others just wait for it to come to them and Do the Rocket know they are allowed to hit the other team? I sure would like to the Main up front for a game or 2 and use all the real dmen in back, Main up front will at least give the team some energy, unlike our other 3rd-4th liners

Doyle is one player that really didn't impress me at all . This guy has to step it up a notch big time if he is going to impress anyone around draft time. That first line was not good at all. I'm also a little surprised at Morrison.... he just doesn't seem to want to be there. Deighan looked out of his league, period. He seemed lost and couldn't seem to keep up with the play. Hopefully the boys will regroup before Saturday......or else it will be another loss.

Whoa, the party getting rough on the Island, firstly Chouinard layed it all out in a paper interview it the team who wins or loses not just goaltenders, d-men, 17 yr olds or 20's all have to be working for the plans to work. He may make a change or two at Christmas but in the end if the forwards are not coming back to assist the d-men and the goaltender defensively and visa versa nothing will succeed.

I thought the reffing was terrible as some of the Titan penalties I thought were questionable, no matter if it's the other team, no need for calls like that.
Lafleur had a rough night, 3 goals on something like 8 shots, but the 2nd and 3rd goals weren't entirely his fault. On the second goal, the Titan had basically a 2-1 type play and the player shot it behind him as he was sliding over to play the pass. It was a good shot on a good play. The 3rd goal, he gave up a rebound which the Titan scored upon. The Rocket defenseman could have done one of 2 things, clear the puck or tie up the player. He did neither, he just stood there and watched. Lafleur made the first save, it's up to the defenseman to take care of the rebound.
I didn't think Latal had a good game. He has a habit of taking stupid penalties and last night was no different, if he wants to play pro, he is going to have to learn discipline because no pro coach is going to put up with a player taking stupid penalties game in-game out. I find he has been turning the puck over alot also and I think a part of that is because he is stick handling the puck too much and the opposition is always tapping the puck off his stick. He doesn't seem to protect the puck when he skates into the zone. He got away with things like that last year, but now the other teams are watching for it and he is getting caught at it.

Well I thought this morning’s Guardian portrayed the game pretty well which was an awful first two periods and one good period is not enough to win a game.
One thing that really disappointed me was that Chouinard barely used our 4th line and Malouin barely played. Especially in game where everyone was playing so poorly why not give them an opportunity. I just found it weird especially when CoonCome & DesRoches got their few shifts late second and in the third when it was a close game again. Don’t understand why Malouin or Paynter got about a shift or 2 total.
Individually Lessard was great tonight and he has really been playing some great hockey of late and starting to really put some points up on the board. But he did a lot more than that last night he was also pretty solid in our end which is where he was really struggling early on.
Southorn also had a tremendous game last night. He is very smooth with the puck and I love that he is finally getting top PP time which he should have been getting from day 1. His fight also surprised me and I was a little worried about his hand because he was throwing a lot of big shots many of which were connecting with helmet but he seemed fine. Great game for him.
I thought Walker had a good game last night and really controlled the play. Also Doyle seemed to have a lot more jump in his step and although I don’t he played great the effort was there. Likely the recent CSB rankings have given him some added motivation.
Lachaine had another solid game and I would like to see him get regular time between Latal and Kana.
I also thought Deighan played a solid game last night and am noticing improvements in his allaround game. He is earning his ice time which is nice to see.
On the negatives side.
Way too many bad giveaways last night. Doyle made quite a few, Gervais and Latal made some bad ones as well.
Latal had a horrible game last night and I really didn’t like how he dropped down with Gallant. Maybe the coach sending a message but the line had no chemistry.
Locke seemed to have the effort but didn’t play a great game or make much happen. Might be a better idea to put him with McKinely & Gallant.
Gervais had a rough game. Seemed out of place a couple of times and as mentioned made some bad giveaways.
Lafleur was horrible. Svoboda’s was a great shot but Lafleur went down for no reason and gave Svoboda time to look around and then decide to pick the top shelf. Perreault made a great pass to Couture and it was a one timer but Lafleur should could have had it. And Faille’s goal was weak. Critchlow put a weak shot on net from just inside the blueline and Lafleur directed the rebound right out front. Exactly the right time to pull him.
On the reverse Gelinas played pretty good. Neither goal was his fault and he gave the team a chance to win it is just too bad that he takes the loss.
Anyway not a great game but I at least appreciated the effort in the third and felt like the Rocket game themselves a chance to win despite putting themselves in a hole. Hopefully the come out with a better effort next game and get back in the win column.

I was not at The Morgue yesterday for the Bathurst game, so I can't comment on it as such.
However, Saturday's game against Moncton featured more hard hitting than I'd ever seen in a Rocket game over the last four years - clean hitting, mostly but not all along the boards, very hard checks all game long. Terrific stuff, and no stupid fights.
Very intense game Saturday night, so I'm sure a bit of fatigue and an emotional letdown was a factor 18 hours later.
I expect a barnburner this Saturday against the Viking Boats.

I hate to see the team lose, but even down 4 goals they still put in an effort to get back in the game. There have been times in the past when they'd have simply folded when down by 4.
Don't agree with the criticism of Morrison. He played well and I noticed him a lot in the second period in our end in the corner and behind the net helping out.
After the 5th goal I'd have sat Locke for the rest of the game. He was coasting back to get the puck and the fore checker blew by him picked it up and went in on a break away. Its one thing to get beat on a play its another to be that careless. He was the last man back, I don't know what he was thinking but he should have reflected on that from the bench.
On the up side the team seems to be working on their break out and not just trying to chip the puck up the boards. Lots more work on passing to hit the tape more regularly.
