It's been taking me much longer to process trades because the trade PMs are providing incomplete information.
I'll get PM chains that start:
Dorchester Trades #45 for #55 and #65
I don't know what round, I don't know who owns them, I don't even know what team you're trading with. I can tell if you copy the other GM on the PM, but that doesn't always happen either.
Each trade thread should include me, and both GMs. I don't need to be copied on the entire trade negotiation.
The first post should have the trade details. Picks should include round, and the original owners. I don't need the overall draft position. I just add that after the season starts so people know. Picks don't exist in the spreadsheet as "#17", they exist as 1-SRS, or Souris' first rounder.
For players, please include their first and last names, their Q team, their position, and their age. If you list them as:
P First Last (TEA) - ##
then I can just copy/paste. I like Copy Paste.
After listing the deal, if there are futures on conditions, they can be mentioned below. Futures still need their own trade PMs. From now on, they need to be separate PMs, they can't just be a bump of the old PM.
The second post will be from the other GM, and can just be one word "Agreed". If it's a three way deal, then there'd be the same original post, and two "Agreed"s
The following post will be from me, acknowledging I've received the trade with the approval of both GMs. Once I review it to make sure it's kosher and I update the rosters in the spreadsheet, I'll post to the thread.
This will help me stay organized, and allow me to keep things updated for you a bit quicker.
Thanks!
