Quote: Up 6-2, BC had no reason to fight back........smart move on their part.
The Rocket should have tried to get a scrap going when they went down 3-0 in the opening period.....not the final couple mins.
I know, I was just wondering why juniour and manaboo thought they should have fougtt. They say they "should" have, but aren't offering anything to back up that claim. I was just wondering why.

Can someone of the opinion please tell me why they think BC "should have fought"? Back it up, guys. The Rocket should have tried to get a scrap going when they went down 3-0 in the opening period.....not the final couple mins. Oh yes, that would REALLY have changed the outcome. Typical hockey "thinking"......getting the snot beat out of you by a much more talented and hard-working team, so start a fight, of course! I mean, what else can you do?

Because they have no idea - they just want to see fights. Asking for a rationale is asking too much - it's hockey, don't you know?

Maybe I should lay off, lest I be called a "Homo".

Down 3-0, if a fight breaks out and the Rocket come out on top it would get the fans back into it, and the players. It happens at all levels.....and at times, it works. We all get it.....you don't like fights.

Nah, I didn't say that at all, you're taking it personally, and really, you shouldn't, it wasn't intended that way.....just taking out my frustrations after a thoroughly miserable evening at The Morgue. It's quieter at the Zamboni end - much quieter, and people are into the game a lot less - it happens every time I go to that end....which is why I went there last night, I'd had enough of my fellow fans....plus, I wanted to see the Rocket score at that end in the second period...I was still naive enough to think they would, and of course, they didn't. Poor choice of words when using "no one much cares about the game, as always" when talking about your fellow fans at a hockey game. If you want to take your frustrations out, do it by other means instead of making comments about other fans that go to the games.

Like I said in a previous post, it seemed like they started playing with intensity after that stupid tripping call on Southorn in the 3rd period. The players seemed pissed and played with intensity after that, they should be doing that the moment they come out on the ice to start the game.

I never make personal attacks, nor do I presume to tell people what they should post/not post, nor do I comment on their "choice of words". Good grief, lighten up!

you comment on what people post all the time frank... take your own advice and lighten up
as for last night.. i think it was a bad decision to have a hockey game on Santa Clause parade day.. the reason so many people were late coming in last night was because traffic in town was absolutely painfully brutal.. the hockey game was actually almsot as bad as sitting in non moving traffic on University Ave
and Gallant definitely should have been looking for his fight when the score was 2 or 3 nothing... not when its 6-2
maybe wednesday will be better

Gallant tried to start a few fights throughout the game, not just in the last end of it. But eveyone backed down. They're right afraid to fight gallant, and not just this team. Most teams won't fight Gallant that I've seen.

Hmmm our Section was full of kids from some School and all they did was chant we want a fight we want a fight we want a fight, hmmm great memory for them Rocket lose 6-2 and are a cheap team ....... Im not to sure what there is to like about Rocket hockey anymore?? We dont do anything on the ice..... Why cant these boys learn to hit someone once in a while do they have figure skating lessons later in the night You dont attack the other team of course were gonna get beat every night, we need a whole bunch of players like Main....... Which mose nights is ALWAYS one of the better players on the ice Id rather have a Dirty team who wins then a Rotten tem who gets pushed around every night, if we could unleash Main, Galant, Paynter, Maybe some teams might be afraid to play us instead of always expecting an EASY 2 points.....and chances are if we do play like that the rink will be FULL!
