The kid has never been one of my favorite players as i felt he was just very ordinary at everything yet played all the time no matter what... but the past month .. Matty lachaine has turned into a hockey player.... he's playing great two way hockey and finally putting some points on the board.... his trade value is up now.... sell high? if not let's hope he can maintain this play.. might just be an overage option next year afterall
way to go matty

Under Jean it seems like Lachaine was designated a defensive player since day one and that was it nothing more, but I like the way Chouinard is using him. I know that MacKinley and Lachaine is playing well with other linemates, but I thought that the MacKinley-Lachaine-Gallant line clicked very well and was very effective. I realized they were broken up to help the top 2 lines, but I thought all 3 of them were at their best when they played together.

Matty is playing his best hockey recently since becoming a Rocket.
Very nice goal tonight...and a nice pass by Doyle to send him in alone.

Thanks Bois ..... (I think ) Lachaine has always been one of my favourite players and I think it is great that he is finally start to break out with that offensive contriubtions that I always thought he could provide. Over the past 10 games he has 5 goals and 12 pts split between 3rd/2nd line duty although I think over the past few he has really established himself well on our 2nd line between Doyle & Kana and should be our 2nd line centre for the rest of the season. Keep it up Matty !

Things seem to be clicking for Lachaine. I'd like to see him stick as I think he would likely be here next year. He's a team player works hard. Its good to see him starting to put some numbers up. He reminds of of Doucet. I think he'll just get better as the season progresses.
