Two pretty close games that could have gone either way. Cats just have a bit more offence right now and that was the difference.
Saturday it was the depth with guys like Johnson, Smith and MacEwen chipping in. Today it was Garland stealing the show for the win. SJ has a good team overall, but they don't have a high end difference maker like Garland.
I didn't like the rebound on the first SJ goal, but otherwise a solid outing from Dupré. Both goalies made some big stops throughout the game.

I agree, SJ is 3 mines deep but they don't seem to have a 90-100 point forward. Would not be surprised to see them trade assets for a 19 year old who would be back next year.

Cats are moving faster. It's entertaining to watch. I would love to see a bit more on the physical side, it would come in handy against the stronger teams.
Anyone notice why the Klima's were benched for half of the game ?

Anyone notice why the Klima's were benched for half of the game ? No idea why they were benched ... but they were on the ice for SJ's short handed goal at 15:29 of the 2nd. I don't think we saw them again after that ... but I didn't notice them missing until some time into the 3rd.

Rumble has a very strong work ethic. If he thinks someone is not giving 100%, they will be benched, doesn't matter who you are. I did like the Murphy, McEwan and Leger line. They had very good opportunities to score and added a physical presence that we seem to be missing.

They often set the tone some nights. If they had a bad shift that is fine, but benching them for it just seems unfair. That would seem to be holding them to a higher standard than others. I'm more concerned with guys like Johnson and Garland taking too many bad penalties ... and the entire team taking too many each night. We are normally one of the least penalized teams in the Q.

Cats up 2-1 late in the 2nd. Game is on rogers Beautiful tip by MacEwan on the 2nd goal tell garland he is the best player in CHL but he has to stop taking stop over doing it like slamming the glass out all the time when he scores unless it's a really big game
