[Stuck in a Loop...]

As someone suggested we should do our own lol So I'll Start with a short one, lol not as detailed as some will be.

Marc-Antoine Gélinas- Little known b4 but Great To have him here

Antoine Lafleur- Not playing up to Standards

Benoit Gervais- Playing Pretty Well but could be more of a Physical Threat, And Stickhandling has become better

Danick Malouin- Well Same as year so far, not much icetime

Allan Clow- Dont even realize when he is dressed most games so NC

Jordon Southorn- Well playing well considering 17 but still isnt at his best

Pierre-Luc Lessard- Playing Steady this year
Parker Deighan- Dont like him on th pp but otherwise doing great for a rookie

Bryan Main- Wow Liked him as the energy guy, But great move for the rocket, like to see him back as a 20 yr old next season

Geoff Walker- Agreed he could throw the body more, and needs to take more shots, but have his ice time thinned a lil

Chris Doyle- Too many drop passes, Seems like he is playing for the scouts instead of his team most nights

Martin Latal- Great Start but lately cant buy a goal

Brandon MacLean- Like to see him on the ice more too see what he can do

Lucas McKinley- Playing well this years added a lil more of a scoring threat for us, needs to shoot more often Shot % is like 33%

Brad Gallant- Fights and scoring Good job for an enforcer, not sure as the 20 yr old

Brett Morrison- Inconsistent, Floats around most games, doesnt look like he wants to play, pass the puck more often too

Nathan DecRoches- Picking his game up lately but nc yet

Jan Kana- Reminds me of Cjmore a lil bit hot start but then, but he is playing like someone who is 6'4" throwing his weight around all 175 of it lol

Matthew Lachaine- up to the 2nd line, showing what he can do

Maxim Cliche- UGH.....

Jeremiah Coon-Come- Sppedy is all i can really say not ready for the Q imo

Chad Locke- Hit and Miss as always with him

Greg Paynter- Needs more shifts and gotta shit disturb a lil more lol

Marc-Antoine Gélinas- He's great. Great pickup. I think he'll be our number 1 goalie this season, depending on if we get Mosher back and how they fare against each other.

Antoine Lafleur- I love this guy, but he doesn't want to be here. (I'm saying this from off ice talk, not on ice action). he just doesn't care for here any more and so he's not playing his best. Last season he was great but atm, he's just not putting effort into it. He's leaving at christmas.



Benoit Gervais- I think if he pulled himself back into his zone he'd be amazing. Still having trouble taking those hard shots still from the wrist bit, but I think we should keep him on.

Danick Malouin- He hasnt had much ice time as much as I can see, and I don't think he's doing much atm. I love the guy from last season, but I dunno. We'll have to see where the trade takes us.

Allan Clow- I personally don't think he's the best, Couple of the new ones we got young i think are being overwhelmed with this and need some more ice time at home to get worked up for the Rocket.

Jordon Southorn- There's some bad games he's got, but I think he'll stay on. He's had a lot of turnovers and not a lot of chances with the puck. But I do think he's good and needs go gain confidence and not cockyness.

Pierre-Luc Lessard- Great guy, great hockey player. Been a little off but I think once it finally kicks in he'll soar and be amazing

Parker Deighan- Not a parker fan, but thats just my oppinion. I havent seen him do much, personally, for the team yet this season. He's young and all but I don't think he's quite ready.

Bryan Main- I LOVE main! Physical and everything. Yah he's not done lots with scoring and what not, but I think he's aweosme and needs to stay.



Geoff Walker- Good player, has his off days, but everyone does. Don't shy away from hitting and use your strenght to put the pressure on their offence.

Chris Doyle- I heard he was sposed to be the new Grags, I think he's great potential, and that shot, wow. Tad more solid and we're all set.

Martin Latal- I love marty. Fast and agile, tho he hasnt lately gotten any goals, his confidence is down. Once he gainst that back up he'll be amazing. I've a feeling he'll go at trade though, not entirely sure why.

Brandon MacLean- I don't have much for him. I dont see him on enough to notice .

Lucas McKinley- Lucas is cool. Slow start but he's starting to come out of that shell and start playing better. few mroe games and we've got a strong one.

Brad Gallant- Ah the "everyone backs away from me and won't fight" haha. He's great. I love him on the team.

Brett Morrison- He's definitely bound for greatness. Not much criticize. He's picked up some of his loose ends but there are still a few here and there.

Nathan DecRoches- Love Nathan. He deserves to be here. Get him a lot more ice time please!

Jan Kana- Started off loving Jan! But lately theres not been much from him.

Matthew Lachaine- He's definitely picking up his game the last few games at home that I've seen. I figure he needs to stay on.

Maxim Cliche- Tho pretty much all the rink doesn't like him, he did do well, he even got a goal, the last few games he was in. Though in all honesty he should be going home. He has to use his size to intimidate and put pressure on the other teams. Gain ur confidence that your size isnt hindering you. McKinley is tall too, just realize that ur gonna do well if ya tightern ur skates and get low and force them.

Jeremiah Coon-Come- I love him. I was so excited to get him to come back. Haven't seen him play as much as some, but He's got something.

Chad Locke- Good, but not spectacular. From what I remember, I thin, he needs to buckle down

Greg Paynter- Love greg. Tho he's not doing his best. He still deserves to be here, just get him out and get him low,

Marc-Antoine Gélinas- WOW...what a surprise! Didn't expect much from him at all, but can't say anything bad about his play.

Antoine Lafleur- One word. Disappointment.

Benoit Gervais- Steady. Solid in own zone. I would like to see Benoit be a bit more strog along the boards. Punish those guys!

Danick Malouin- Really see no improvement in his game. I see him as being gone after the break.

Allan Clow- Not much ice time given. Like his offensive skills, but needs to get stronger. Kid needs work in his own zone. Should be here all season.

Jordon Southorn- Stud Dman back their. Kid is flowing with confidence, and is making Savard look great by moving at the draft to snatch him.

Pierre-Luc Lessard- Not really that noticable out their in my eyes, but im hoping he turns things around, as I feel he could be valuable to a team next season.

Parker Deighan- IMO, he's playing very solid for a 17yr old. No complaints here.

Bryan Main- Another great pickup. Kid does it all out their. Good shot, good skater, and he's a team guy.


Geoff Walker- Having a great season. Gotta control the temper a bit, but boy, does he have an accurate shot or what?

Chris Doyle- Im not gonna complain about Doyle as some do. To me, this 17yr old kid is playing great. 32pts so far, gives him 4 shy of last seasons total. People have to relize that he's only 17! Imagine him two years from now...at 19! Kid is a future star.

Martin Latal- Can't buy a goal as of late. Feel bad for Marty, as most times the effort has been their.....especially last game Vs Moncton.

Brandon MacLean- Kid has been impressive to date. With limited ice time, he really works hard, and his skating has been improved a lot.

Lucas McKinley- Playing great hockey this season. Already has 12 more pts then all of last season.

Brad Gallant- Really like his game. Could be the top fighter in the Q this season. Too bad he's 20 though.

Brett Morrison- I have only seen Mo play as Mo can a few times this season....but yet, he still leads the team in pts. Amazing talent, but i just wish he put a strong effort every game.

Nathan DecRoches- Playing well as of late. Im a fan of his game.....doesn't mind the rough going, and can chip in with some offence. At 17, he has been impressive.

Jan Kana- A Wrecking Ball. His game is to hit, hit and to hit some more. When he don't he' not as affective. Has skill, but is not gonna be a top pt getter..

Matthew Lachaine- Finally!! Matty is finally playing solid hockey. Was always decent defensivly, but now he's putting pts up on the board, and is playing pretty well on the PP.

Maxim Cliche- Time to cut the ties.

Jeremiah Coon-Come- Skill and speed is his game. Playing in the Q this season will help him become more stronger, and he'll know that he'll need to bulk up a bit.

Chad Locke- Inconsistant IMO. Chad has skill, but only shows flashes of it. Unsure what will bring for him in the new year.

Greg Paynter- Hard work. Wish Greg seen regular icetime, as I dont see him as a liability out their at all. Bangs and crashes everytime he's on the ice.!

Jordon Southorn- The future PP QB and #1 D... as good as Grags? perhaps.. let's hope his 'tude is better.

Pierre-Luc Lessard- Being asked to play above his skillset, struggled hardcore early but has been getting better. Could get a good return if traded or if adding at xmas get him a dman to take some pressure off P.L.

Parker Deighan- Started off well but has been not good lately and agreed he should not be on PP.

Bryan Main- Type of player every team needs. Best pickup of the summer IMO.. another steal from Gatineau yet they continue to be better than us.. why??


Geoff Walker- Playing excellent IMO.

Chris Doyle- Putting up numbers but I am concerned with the constant talk of his attitude.. usually where there is smoke there is fire.

Martin Latal- We need alot more from Marty.. finally looked like himself last game.. hopefully continues that and goals will come.

Brandon MacLean- Needs more icetime to evaluate.

Lucas McKinley- A surprise but not gonna be a huge scorer.

Brad Gallant- Great addition. Being 20 sucks but what the hell.. he is what we've lacked since the days of Jimmy.

Brett Morrison- Seeing why he wasn't drafted in his first 2 eligible years now. But no questioning his immense offensive talents and no matter what ever happens, nobody will ever top his play from last years playoff series with Bathurst.

Nathan DecRoches- Coming around now but still not convinced he is ready.

Jan Kana- Our best second Euro in Rocket history, however I think we'll need a slamdunk next year to contend because he's not gonna be a PPG guy.

Matthew Lachaine- Our best player right now, keep it up and 3 years of golden boy treatment with no results will be forgotten.

Maxim Cliche- He's done, thanks for trying.

Jeremiah Coon-Come- Love the name and the potential but he really should have been left in midget to tear it up all year.. he isn't big enough or quick enough (release) to contribute here yet.

Chad Locke- What could have been, oh well it isn't gonna happen now.

Greg Paynter- Probably won't be here all year.. this years Praught? KMac? Donovan... should have been used more

Hate assessing players as I try to be positive about them all, but some do make it a little tough at times. ;D
Here goes....
Marc-Antoine Gélinas - Plays a simple game well. Nothing too flashy, stays within the confines of what he can do well. Great reflexes as seen the other night with stopping point-blank, in close shots from Moncton.

Antoine Lafleur - Definitley a disappointing season for him. Can he turn it around and will he do so here? He’s going to have to trust the advice and critique he’s getting from not 1, but 2 former goaltenders that have played at high levels.

Before I go further I think the stint Gelinas is on is not something to read into. If you look back Lafleur was give a 5-game starting assignment and so has Gelinas. I expect that Guy is getting a good long look at both goalies and if we can afford to trade one at Christmas.

Benoit Gervais - I agree with the assessment of his wrist. I don’t think we’ve had the benefit of a Gervais that’s out there 100% healthy. Credit to him for playing with a wonky joint and still getting the job done.

Danick Malouin - Thinking back to his play last year I see some improvement, but marginal it is.

Allan Clow - Strength conditioning should be first priority for him. He got rocked onto his backside the other night and with a little more muscle he’ll be doing the knocking. I agree with Bois on this one….let’s not give up on him too soon.

Jordon Southorn - What’s not to love about Southy….has a hiccup here and there, but at 17 he’s a gem. Can’t wait to see him at 19…lookout.

Pierre-Luc Lessard – Has been playing more comfortably in his role as of late. Agree that another D-man with offensive flair would lighten P.L’ s workload, but quietly leads this team. He may not be a leader like David, Max or P.A. and be able to do it offensively, but in the dressing room and with solid play on the ice he can be just as effective as a leader.

Parker Deighan – Like this kid. Starting to show flourishes of the type of player he can be. Like Clow with a little muscle on the frame he’ll be a solid player.

Bryan Main – Should Lessard be traded then this is the man I would give the “C” to next season. What a coup getting him. Forward or defence he doesn’t change his style. When he takes a winger down “Mainstreet” with a hit it gets everyone going. Easily one of my personal favs this year.

Geoff Walker – Walks can have a bit of temper (he’s definitely toned down from last year) and despite some on here saying he’s not physical enough should stand over on my side of the rink where Geoff dishes out some beauties. His opening steamroll over an Eagle set the tone for the game on Nov. 28.
Not an overly fast skater Geoff knows how to position himself on the ice. Love to see him in front of the net more for a screen.

Chris Doyle – We all hear different things about Chris, but for my money he’s already on or above pace for last year’s totals and we’re only in December. Agree that yes he does do the “no-look pass” a little too much, but his shot is one of the hardest on the team. Not all players at 17 handle the pressure well, but I think he’s doing fine. Get past any supposed ego problems and picture him at 19…that’s why I’d keep him.

Martin Latal – We saw Marty struggle with goals last year as well and in the 2nd half was starting to produce big time. Perhaps that’s the same scenario this year. A trip to the world junior camp might be just what the doctor ordered. One of the best penalty killers on the team.

Brandon MacLean – Watched MacLean on the ice the other night and thought his skating and strength along the boards in the corners really improved. I say keep him where he’s at and let him come along before thrusting him to 3rd or even 2nd line duty. Again another player that could be fantastic for us at 18-19.

Lucas McKinley and Matthew Lachaine – I’m putting these two together as the break-out players this season. Alsways thought these two were hard working players and enjoyed their play on the ice, but this season they have been above and beyond my expectations. Well done to stick with them and give them room to grow.

Brad Gallant – BG has been a very solid addition. Starting to show some offensive flourish out there and proving to the naysayers that he’s not a 1-dimensional player. Hope he finishes out his final year of junior here at home. Creates space for linemates and on the PP rarely gets moved from in front of the net.

Brett Morrison – Mo is by far the best player on the team. At times yes he does appear disinterested, but even then he still pots a goal. When he’s on….FMG…he’s untouchable. I would have a hard time seeing him go unless we get two blue-chip players in return.

Nathan DesRoches – Nathan doesn’t shy from getting his nose dirty and I love any player willing to do the dirty work in the corners. Nathan could be a future Lachaine given the right ice time.

Jan Kana – He’s been getting back to his hard-hitting style that had fans cheering for him early on. He definitely has more upside than Cjmorei had and I see him improving further down the road.

Maxim Cliché – With his size and potential early on I really wanted to give this kid a chance, but watching his skating the other night was painful. I hate to be mean, but agree that brass should acknowlege a draft boo-boo here and let him go back and play junior A in Quebec.

Jeremiah Coon-Come – There is something there. Whether it was ready to make the jump this year I’m still debting. Building up strength will be key for him. Speed not a problem.

Chad Locke – I like Locke and if he was given a more consistent tice time this year along with moving him back to centre he would be back to where he was towards the end of last season and the playoffs.

Greg Paynter – I love Paynter’s game and I’ve never seen him take a night off. He’s falling slowly into the numbers game that Nathan Snowie found himself in last season. Certainly deserves a solid spot on the team. He’s a banger and crasher, but he does possess pretty good speed out there. Fearless too when it comes to the rough stuff.

It must be Christmas, because no way would all these guys normally get such good reviews. With all these good reviews, how the heck did we end up in last place? Bad coaching?

You can be critical of a player and write it without being mean about it. It's called taking the time to think before typing. That's what I did. I actually thought about what each player has improved on and what they need to work on without saying stuff like "they're shit".

Also the last couple of games, Sea Dogs aside, the team has been playing better and some have improved immensely. As I said before, when everyone buys into the plan that night and works hard like they did tonight agaisnt HFX or CB then they are certainly capable of earning a win against anyone. If a few players differ from the plan then chaos ensues.
