With Baie-Commeau (3rd), Chicoutimi (6th) and Quebec (4th) coming up how are the Rocket going to fare? Our last road game was the disastrous 10-3 loss to Saint John and now we face three teams that are doing quite well in the other division.
BC and Quebec are probably the strongest of the three with 12-3 and 12-5 records respectively at home.
Chi is 5-8 on home ice, but hardly a welcome atmosphere for any visiting team.
Could this also be a preview of teams we'll be dealing with at the trade period as they will get a first hand look at players they're interested in.
I suspect Lafleur will start one of these games.
With the Rocket a point back of St. John's and 5 points back of Bathurst each win will be crucial to ending the first half on a positive note. Hoping for a 5 point finish (2 wins and an OTL). If we got all 6 points, well Merry Christmas to us!
