Read that 3 busloads of Cree fans from Mistissini, on James Bay, are coming down to watch Jeremiah Coon-Come play tonight.
150 of them, and it's about a 400-mile (600 km) trek on a so-so road....probably around 7 hours, surely an all-day drive.
Given the history in Chicoutimi, let's hope that the yahoos aren't out in force, and that we don't get an incident à la Ted Nolan, which was extremely embarrassing for the league and for the city of Chicoutimi.
Let's hope, also, that the kid is not scratched, although I don't think Rocket management would do that.
Now if Jeremiah could score his first Major Junior goal, that would be awesome.
.....game-winning goal?
As Junior Cormier would say......GO ROKKITTS!

He won't be scratched.. but he probably won't score either
A win would be nice.... maybe even a win with LaFleur in net, then afterwards the bus from Mistissini can take Antoine back with them .. I kid (a bit)

I don't know if any other Rocket has had that kind of fan support at a game.
Coon-come plays with a lot of energy and the extra support should get the adrenaline pumping. I expect he'll rise to the occasion. It would be nice in the circumstances to let him play a few shifts with Walker and MO, increase the odds for him to get on the stat sheet.

Come on now...Walker, Paynter, Gallant, DesRoches, Deighan, Doyle and Clow get around 2,000 Islanders every home game supporting them. ;D Seriously though great to see JCC getting that support and it would be pretty cool to see him get a goal or an assist.

I don't think we could get one bus load to go to Moncton let alone 3 to say lewiston which I think is about 7 hours away.

Ah yes, Reggie, reminiscing about that brings a tear to my eye, and warms the cockroaches of my heart. Highlight was getting a hug from Hockeychick after the Rocket hammered the Cats to extend the series. Lowlight was getting a hug from Junior Cormier.
